Due to all the recent press I feel the need to hide my public pictures and profile picture. Anyone else feel the same?

People should also be very careful of badly organised group meets in pubs etc where just about everyone is invited.

Very easy for reporters to find out where these take place.

If you answer yes to any of the following questions then maybe.

Do you work on a plantation?

Have you been with a woman who's fanny flutters at the sight of you?

Do you do more than your job and except a good sloppy job on the job in government issued vehicles?

Are you a porn star?

Do you like to be kicked in the kahunas by a secret fuzzy haired nymph who lives on a plantation?

If you answered no then you're safe enough I reckon

Relax...nobody mentioned having sex.

These reporters are looking to see what does go on and create a story.

Wasn't there a big write up before about a social in the Munster region????

All I'm saying is people need to be careful the same as this man hid his pics for his own safety.

Don't try and turn this into something else.....it's my opinion and would maybe help others.

The reality is nobody knows what the press is looking for. But it's not just the press that may want to out people. I appreciate that people say they have nothing to loose and are not worried but I'm sure all of us would not want family friends etc knowing. We as a group need to apply caution as to what's said in forums... Already in last few weeks/days all Of The main 3 clubs addresses have been posted openly in forum. Hardly takes a reporter to figure that one out. Anyways just our tuppence.

Wow! Respect. They know that people want to be private and their threats of exposure are pretty much all they've got, take that away & they've got NOTHING. It's just consenting adults having consensual sex in private.

Fair play to you. That was a good move.

But you run well organised private functions. These free for alls in public houses is where they will try and out people.

I was at a group meet in Limerick last year in the public bar of a hotel. A number of women were snogging etc....they would have a field day with that kinda thing.

Did you actually notice any journalists or anyone else doing something suspicious, to out people?

I seriously doubt it, as when you go to a club, you often will see women in semi or erotic situations and nobody makes a big story out of it, so why would anyone make a thing out of women snogging in a hotel bar?

We moved all our photos to friends only for the time being. Not necessarily because of the media but mainly due to the influx of newbies. Being recognised by other swinger we may know in vanilla life is fine, but being recognised by newbies who ain't sure what they want is something we'd rather avoid.

Yes, but after all the coverage the past week they will be looking for a story.

No need to tell me about clubs because I've been to loads of them.

Clubs and parties are private and are a controlled environment whereas a public house is not and the press can have a field day there.

I would know that shirt anywhere "

I saw a fella being interviewed on the news the other day and thought it was me.

I've kissed plenty of women in bars - on vanilla nights out

I'm worse behaved at a non-swing social probably because I know there's usually no chance of an after party

"

But you run well organised private functions. These free for alls in public houses is where they will try and out people.

I was at a group meet in Limerick last year in the public bar of a hotel. A number of women were snogging etc....they would have a field day with that kinda thing.

Did you actually notice any journalists or anyone else doing something suspicious, to out people?

I seriously doubt it, as when you go to a club, you often will see women in semi or erotic situations and nobody makes a big story out of it, so why would anyone make a thing out of women snogging in a hotel bar?

Yes, but after all the coverage the past week they will be looking for a story.

No need to tell me about clubs because I've been to loads of them.

Clubs and parties are private and are a controlled environment whereas a public house is not and the press can have a field day there.

I think it's over dramatising and over panicking, however I appreciate you have a different opinion on this.

And I respect your opinion.

I'm just saying they could try and find a story at a public meet.

You would see worse behaviour in Coopers most night "

Which has been published in the press....I rest my case

Totally agree.

If people panicked less these wankers would soon go away, I (mr c) have been off work all week and was on here a bit and I have never seeing such drama and drivel in all our time on here, sure nobody wants their photo splashed across the papers but these arseholes must be reading the forum and laughing their holes off

They and their cronies are trying to get the community running scared to try & wrestle some control over something they have very little say in.

Exactly, we used to do a lot of parties on another site and we had them sniffing around so instead going into hiding we met them face on with our solicitor , no big argument no drama, guess what they went away, its how you handle them

Fair play to you. That was a good move.

The press need an angle to sell the story otherwise no one will give a shit. So this last week they've discovered that some mad geebag is riding guards and soldiers while on duty. That was always going to be printed especially as she wanted her name up in lights anyway.

A while ago they went after a former inter county player who was alleged to have been organising swinger parties. Then, although not a swinging story, they had a field day with that Tanya Tate Ireland tour stuff. If it's just regular folk meeting up for parties then the press don't care...I hope

Gutter press operators have profiles, are verified members and are regulars at events throughout the lifestyle - and have been for decades!!!

Nothing new there.

Only in 'small town' Ireland does this create problems for those unwary enough to believe what they read either in emils, texts or rags designed to make money.

Have you been with a woman who's fanny flutters at the sight of you?

The example given for bad behaviour that was would case trouble in the press a same sex couple kissing . Thinly vield homophobia , no place here or anywhere else . And you can be sure no paper is going to print a headline "two ladies kissing in a pub "

Ah heeeeere... Someone pointing out that the rag papers like to publish photos and make a fuss over two girls kissing does not in any way make that person homophobic. That was a poor enough choice of word.

The Op example given for bad behaviour that would cause trouble in the press was same sex couples kissing in public thinly vieled homophobia and has no place here or anywhere else and you can be sure there won't be any headlines " two ladies kissing in a pub "

Ah heeeeere... Someone pointing out that the rag papers like to publish photos and make a fuss over two girls kissing does not in any way make that person homophobic. That was a poor enough choice of word. "

Really how so a homophonic is someone who displays a prejudice against gay people .

His omg I was at a meet and there were ladies kissing each other it public example sounds pretty prejudice to me

The example given for bad behaviour that was would case trouble in the press a same sex couple kissing . Thinly vield homophobia , no place here or anywhere else . And you can be sure no paper is going to print a headline "two ladies kissing in a pub ""

It was me that mentioned that.

Firstly that is not homophobic from a male perspective and especially from somebody who's had 3somes, 4somes and been involved in group play with up to 20 people of both sees with lots of bi females.

Secondly I never said I had a problem with it. I was making a point of what could be seen at these events by a reporter.

Homophobia does not just apply to males it applies to gay ladies two

No reporter or paper would report anything of the sort in this day and age and you pointing it out as a potential issue for the swinging community is prejudice to me and any other bisexual or gay person .

I take it you're referring to this...

" I was at a group meet in Limerick last year in the public bar of a hotel. A number of women were snogging etc....they would have a field day with that kinda thing."

It wasn't the op.

He didn't say what you suggested.

Saying the media would have a field day with it is totally different to what you're implying.
