The add advise is to

Pull in

Drink Coffee

Nap for 15 minutes.

I know I couldn't nap after a coffee, could you?

Other way around?

Presume this is in relation to tired driving

After four hours driving last week (Sunday) - had to pull in - walk round the car in the breezy conditions and after ten minutes was able to continue. Scary stuff but when you feel fatigue coming on stop and take a break!

Was only 15 mins from home but that didn't matter - was glad to get home

Sure you would be whizzing after the coffee

Caffeine doesn't take effect immediately, if you drink it fairly quickly and nap for 15 minutes, you will have maximum (although short-term) recovery from extreme tiredness afterwards.

I think the idea is you have a short nap before the caffeine kicks in and that should help keep you awake for another while.

Well I suppose it depends on the strength of coffee you like. I like mine strong.

Not much good if you don't drink coffee!

Not much good if you're in the sticks at 3 a.m. with everything closed!

The ad is right. Caffeine kicks in after 30 to 45 minutes. Nap takes care of immediate tiredness

Driving long distances can be very tiring and it's worse than being d*unk . I've been there use to drive long distances around Ireland. I did fall asleep at the wheel in England at 4 in the morning. I was very lucky I did not crash .
