Favourite comedian and why ?

"My favourite at the moment is George Carlin . Love watching his old stuff on youtube. He had a fantastic insightful mind and never hdld back on amy subject he wanted to bring to the audiences attention. A woderful array of subjects everything from American culture, society, religion, politics, psychology, philosophy, profanity, everyday life, nihilism, misanthropy, recreational drug use, language, mass media, popular culture, current events, death, masculinity, family, parenting, race relations, old age he gave his views on. Although he died in 2008 much of what he spoke about is more relevant today than it has ever been. I can't help but imagine what he would have made of the Trump presidency or "smart"phones dumbing down society. I think comedians, well certainly Carlin did have a brilliant way of challenging what society views as normal and hopefully gives the viewer at lease pause for thought in their own thought process. " Oh yeah he is brilliant!!! One of my favourite videos on you tube is when he talks about national-pride-patriotism. | |||
