And as with so many on here, it's alright to take the piss but it's offensive if it's returned. I think the 'lady's' comment wasn't constructive and was taken offensively. Many see it as piss take some see it as banter but it's all irish and few can take it but freely give it. I'm sure this will bring white knights out too. |

Taking the piss is veey different to body shaming. His comment was body shaming ... thats not been a white knight thats calling out idiotic behaviour. |

Taking the piss isn't always funny . It's only seen as funny by those who know you and really that's where taking the piss is acceptable but taking the piss of someone you don't know isn't much diferent than shaming...its much the same imo.
This post does sum up alot of what goes on in this forum which is unfortunate as there are a lot of lovely irish but it reinforces the already bad name it has for this type of behaviour. It's sad that this post continues to attract so much attention. |
