Belfast 'Coffee Morning' Social

Howdy Fabbers 
With the New Year well upon us I was hoping to do something new with my time on here!
I've seen there's been a few wee "coffee morning" socials organised in places and it's long been something I'd love to do!
So, with that in mind, how would a little midday get together in February sound to folk? I'm thinking Saturday 23rd but I'm just putting the feelers out atm!
Open to both verified and unverified members. In the hope of helping a few along on their Fab journey, sharing a laugh and making new friends!
With the added bonus of raising money and awareness for a good cause! Perhaps selfishly, a local animal shelter very near and dear to me. We run on generosity alone so every little helps! All donations would be voluntary on the day and I'll of course provide a direct contact line if people prefer that
I understand there may be just the one who fancies a cuppa but don't worry, I'll still be there to say hello  |

Just out and about in the City centre! A pub or restaurant, that way it's easy found and people can stay as long as they like!
Don't worry, plans are afoot to ensure any Fabbers are recognisable without name tags |

Sounds like a really good idea ?? I'd be really interested in meeting like minded people rather than all the frauds and fakes floating about. Please let me know if it's confirmed. I'd travel up from Derry just to meet genuine folk |

Unfortunately the date, whatever it may be, won't suit everyone. However, seeing Saturday being a sticking point already I'll almost certainly have to think again
At some point next week I hope to post an exact date. Which would give folk at least two weeks to think and/or decide they can or can't make it |

Well having considered what date may suit best, for myself and others, and having received some great advice from some selfless Fabbers I've decided to plan ahead for Friday 22nd
Starting at 12, midday, with the location sent out that morning!
I understand that it may not suit everyone, including those who've already expressed interest, but the hope is for this not to be the last one

Howdy! Just a wee bump for a new week
I'm very thankful for all the messages and interest so far! I'll be there to say hello no matter how many!
Just to say though, for anyone who is interested that I may not have been in touch with, please be mindful of filters
I don't want to miss anyone out but I also wouldn't want to pester anyone or be responsible for opening the floodgates! So please get in touch yourselves if you'd feel more comfortable |

Hiya everyone!
Thanks again for all the interest! I'll be messaging all those I can throughout the week, in good time, before Friday to confirm whether or not everyone can attend.
The venue won't be sent out until Thursday evening to all those who can make it

I thought about it but decided it against it.
It's only a small gathering of folk, nothing major like a proper M&G, so there'll be plenty of opportunity to talk to and meet everyone there on the day
Plus I'm always wary of the downside to a Kik group and the opportunity that some may use it to take liberties |

Sorry for the late in the week update! Been trying to contact all of those I can but if I haven't/can't please do get in touch if you're still interested
I know there a few who genuinely can't say either way until even the day itself so there's no big rush from everyone else...yet 
There's no 'goal' as such, donation wise, they will be voluntary on the day! Hopefully just an extra good deed for the day from a lovely bunch of Fabbers

I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone who came down today! It genuinely meant a lot
I couldn't have asked for a lovelier, more generous mix of people and I hope everyone enjoyed themselves even half as much as I did! The doggos will appreciate it even more, I promise!
The hope is to plan more and so I hope I see you all again along with some new faces |
