I thought it was good, but a lot of news sites are slating it. A few of them are justifying their bad reviews by saying if you like star wars you might like it.
Well duh. Its made specifically with star wars fans in mind.
Its got 9.2 on imdb from 7300 votes. |

I liked it a lot! Im preferring the spinoff stuff more than The Force Reheated etc 'official' trilogy. Hopefully it's setting up a solid story, I have trust in Jon Favreau, hopefully he won't let the disney pointy heads ruin it! |

We use a shonky firestick app. They are all online in full 4k quality if you look about. I think you need the Disney streaming service to watch it legally but im not 100% |

See what I don't get is this is meant to be after the events of the main story but when baby yoda used the force to stop that rhino thing the Mandalorian didn't have a clue what that was surely he would have an idea with what's transpired before or this is somehow before the main movies where the force was unheard of so a bit confused on that part but certainly will be watching the rest of this the Mandalorian suit is pretty badass |

Apparently it's not him. He couldn't be around for filming so it's a stuntman playing the character and Pascal is just providing the voice. Not that you'd really know the difference as he'd would have had to rely on his voice to get the point across anyway. |

Its Pascal. Even though you don't see his face, there is alot of acting going on. Emotion....comic timing, little understated nuances. A stuntman would look wooden |

It is *mostly* Pedro Pascal in the suit, but when he’s indisposed, stuntmen take over.
I believe Bryce Dallas Howard stated that when she directed ‘Chapter 7: Sanctuary’, she never actually met Pascal at all because he was off doing Broadway or something.
Also, season two started yesterday and I’m thrilled to have it back.

For me Pascal was a let down when it was revealed. A physical mismatch for the role. Though tbf he does have a face that should stay hidden. |

It is set five years after Return of the Jedi.
Mando doesn't know about the Jedi and the Force because he's spent his entire life very far out on the galactic rim, and was raised in a cult that's basically the Mandalorian Taliban.
He does know about the Rebellion because he's encountered them repeatedly.
Characters can survive being eaten by monsters if they're swallowed whole and have armour, weapons and a jetpack to help them get out.
The casting of Kate Sackhoff raises questions, if you have a mind for that sort of thing. She's only forty, but her character appears in stories set twenty-eight years earlier, and she was an adult back then too...

The way I put it after watching the first episode at the end of last year: It feels like it was made by people who genuinely like Star Wars, rather than people who just think Star Wars is cool. That's a really important difference. |

Right from Chapter One, The Mandalorian has been the most Star Wars-y Star Wars since the original trilogy. Like Rogue One and Solo, it massively benefits from not being Jedi-focused, so fingers crossed we won't be seeing too much more of them.

What a show, everything was perfect. Wasn't sure , I thought maybe Cal or Ezra would appear, didn't think they'd have the budget for a young Luke but fuck!

It broke my heart... Mandolorian forgot to give Grogu back his metal ball!
I was so looking forward to seeing Mando reunite Grogu with his favourite little ball
Also, I was never a huge star wars man, but god, mandolorian really hit it outta the park this season. |
