Bí-curious and bisexual on Fab

Since I've joined Fab a year ago, I was surprised by the amount of couples or even single women profiles, where the woman has bí-curious and bisexual, as her sexual orientation.

Now each to their own, as everyone is free to say whatever they want on their profile, but is this the opposite to the "Fab straight" men case, where as a woman on Fab, it's cool to be "Fab bi", whereas for a man it's more of a "stigma"?

Look at the number of female and couple profiles that have 'no bi men" statements.

Thats why

"Look at the number of female and couple profiles that have 'no bi men" statements.

I am aware of the "no bi men" preference on loads of profiles.

What I was trying to highlight was the amount of "Fab bi-" females, is it cool to be a bi female rather than straight on Fab?

I get a lot of messages from men with straight on their profile.

A lot of men that say bi on their profile are up front about it on fab but nearly all are very worried about being outed.

There's defo something to your theory. The sweet taste of beeing a unicorn and the hubby/lads find(s)s it so sexy. However I'd apply that to bi-curious only, I suspect that there's a good amount out there that are 'bi-curious' for the wrong reasons. Someone describing themselves bisexual doesn't feel the need to pretend.

It's acceptable to be bi/curious as a woman. They would not need to lie about it. People just have this glorified lesbian image in their head that was created by the porn industry. It's all nice and clean fun, whereas it's not for bi men

Totally agree with the OP, there's definitely a pressure on the kink and swing scenes for women to play with other women, and it's almost always from a performative perspective, for the benefit of their male partners.

I've experimented in the past, partly because of those pressures, but now I'm much more confident in myself and my desires so I identify as straight.

I find the response of other kinksters and swingers when I say I don't play with women is usually disbelief, or 'never say never', or some other faintly dismissive or pressuring statement. I find it really rude!

Yea there seems to be pressures or stigmas for both men and women and usually in the opposite directions. Some bi men may feel “hard done by” that they are pressured into not admitting their bi side and therefore miss out on experiences whereas women might feel pressured into more experimental situations than they’re comfortable with. As with anything in life, fab/swinging involves real people and therefore creates pressures and it’s own types of hypocrisies. Just as in life, nothing is black or white

Yes I feel like that. I've always said 'never say never' but I cant say I have ever wanted to be with a woman in that sense so far. I have even thought about doing it as it seems to be 'the thing to do' on Fab, but I just dont fancy women at all. I also want to be true to myself. So many people are disappointed when they see I'm straight. We are different as Mr is Bi!

You are right. Or "straight" guys, but having verifications from the tv/ts, are the most funny thing on fab

Bi man in ours too. Most of women in the "couple profiles" are straight. The thing is, that their partners are running those profiles and they have fantasies, and putting pressure on women to have fun with other girls.

We hear you, it seems the straight woman is the real unicorn around here, and there's sometimes a hint of you can't possibly be in any way sexually liberated unless you're experimenting with other women

I'd say I'm pussy tolerant, but never bi or bi curious.

In a right moment with a right person- yes of course.

But there will never be a morning where I wake up and think to myself "I'd love to have sex with a woman today".

It is frustrating at times when your partner really likes someone and is all up for it and you're like nope, don't want it.

And it's not like I wouldn't. Just the right moment didn't come and I dont know that person well enough to be attracted to them

What about the bi-women? Do they 'accept' bi-men more likely?

I don't get what's funny about this?

A verification from a man or TS doesn't mean that anything sexual has even occurred. Verifications are ment to verify people as genuine. I don't need to have sex with someone to know that they are genuine and verify this.

It's a shame that you get judged over this by people who don't even know what went down (or not).

Fab definitely needs better privacy controls when it comes to showing verifications.

I too was surprised by the amount of bi and bi curious ladies on fab. Though i am definitely not complaining, actually I'm thoroughly enjoying it! It's not easy to meet bi ladies for nsa fun outside fab. This a great playground for us bi ladies so maybe thats one of the reasons why it attracts so many. Mrs Bugs

in my experience here being bi puts a lot of woman off. I'm just guessing but there is probably a perception of being slightly feminine when your a bi guy.when the lady is looking for a " Man". maybe I'm wrong.

even when the woman is bi. different strokes for different folks

I was just asking because you said straight women in the first place. I noticed both straight and bi women not wanting to meet bi guys. It's not that bi women would be more tolerant because they're conscious about their own bi-sexuality/curiosity. There might be that perception that bi men are less masculine but my best guess is it mainly boils down to the sti issue, namely that men who have sex with men are at greater risk of fetching an STI according to statistics. Although is tarring all bi and gay men with the same brush, by avoiding the whole group is perceived as being safer.

I said exactly what you have just said on here a few weeks back and was accused of being homophobic.

They are at greater risk of testing positive for an STI, this doesn't necessarily mean that they have higher incidence, they could in fact just be more diligent about getting tested.

Me thinks it's the case too as most women are just "too ashamed" to visit gum clinic, as well as admit that they have been with another woman. God forbid some stranger (in this case doctor or a nurse) will judge them for being adventurous

There's also the denial aspect, only "dirty" people get STIs according to some. Or "we use condoms, don't need testing".

I think maybe both attitudes exist, ie the sti one and the masculinity one, as for the comment about homophobia. I don't see how you were called homophobic, the white knights must have been out that day
