Any gamers on here from London?
Would be good to get to know some fellow gamers, nerds etc & one day possibly get a group together for a social..
I'll start, got myself a Nintendo Switch & Xbox currently.
Just finished playing the Witcher 3 + DLCs, what an epic game.
Love my Nintendo Switch too.

Word is that uts around £450 for the digital only version. Probably throw another £100 on top for version with the disc drive. The ps4 launched for about £350

Overwatch, if you're into fast-paced competitive first person shooters. It's just so polished and well-designed, from the character design and animation (almost Pixar-like in quality and aesthetics) to the variety of play styles you can adopt. It's really well balanced |

I love the assin origins creed was full of bugs I gave up on it with in 2 mjnits in

Weve got a PS4, balls deep into AC Odyssey one of my favourite games. Really enjoyed The Last of Us too. A very hard game if you go in guns blazing, it's very easy to die.
Used to play loads of MoH online on the PC years ago.

PS4 peeps here. We both are into our set of games like COD Morden Warfare for the Mr and Spyro for the Mrs...but we absolutely love love couch coop games too such as Overcooked...Moving out..Crash Bandicoot etc.

Not really what you'd call 'hardcore' gaming per se! (That was back on Halo 3 in my teens...)
Follow a plethora of comic book hero sci-fi TV and all. Visit the cons every now and then, although again it's been a little whilst since I last went. |

Currently own a PS4. I’m more into fighting games so playing a lot of DBFZ. I have yet to finish Shenmue 3 and have a mega drive.
Also more into Anime/Manga more than comics, although I’m more DC than Marvel

I’m a massive geek. Go to comic cons and stuff. Less good on the gaming, my PS4 is hardly ever turned on these days and when it is it tends to be for something fun like a Lego game. I’m pretty terrible at first person shooters - I sucked at Goldeneye on the N64 too. |

I'm into games, although don't play often anymore unless there's a game I really want to play. Used to love MMORPGs and multiplayer games (fifa, cod etc.) but gradually gravitated towards single player games.
Tw3 is my fav, also loved skyrim, oblivion, rdr2 and gta5. |

Hey,
I'm definitely a gaming geek, as well as a film, sci-fi and music geek.
I own a PS4, Xbox One X, Switch, MacBook Pro and have a virtual gaming PC.
I spent most of the lockdown playing Assassins Creed Odyssey to completion, followed by Witcher 3 and Red Dead Redemption 2. Now I'm a bit stuck for games, but trying to get in to EVE Online and RDR2 Online.
I would love to meet a gamer girl or couple for fun too.

Warframe is a really good game if any of use like games to grind and its free to play and has had continuous updates regularly since it was released like 5 or 6 years ago. Also has a big enough player base on pc xbox or ps4 but its better to set your region to America as that's where the bulk of the players are from and alot of people from UK/Europe go there as its good for finding squads and trade chat |

Just finished playing the Witcher 3 + DLCs, what an epic game.
Love my Nintendo Switch too.
Been gaming forever. Quake 3 arena is the best game ever.
I’ll probably kick the shit out of you on COD multiplayer but haven’t adjusted properly to Warzone yet. Still very good, plunder is my thing. Had two top 4 finishes on warzone so far and I can snipe from 700m like a beast.

Used to play xbone and ps1234’s
Now I am just xbone and the iPhone haha Pc is just for work.
I love long games all the fallouts, elite dangerous is a remake of a classic and Skyrim.
Tom Clancy’s division 2, wild landS and break point.
Massive fan of the old school Final fantasy’s... and still love the old dizzy games haha dizzy in magic land.
So many games to talk about.
Played on the old Amstrads acorns and spectrums.

Love gaming been doing all my life from the Sinclair days,
I've had the Saga ms,md(Jap) Nintendo gameboy, snes, 64, DS, XBOX 360, Sony PSP(Jap), ps vita, ps 1 to 4, countless android emulator handheld consoles,
currently got SNES mini, Reteo game 350 (Chinese handheld that emulates 8bit, 16bit and ps1 consoles) and ps4 with psvr headset so mostly into VR gaming now.
Also use to be a massive anime fab way back, I'm so out of touch with the scene now watched "atlered Carbon" about 6mth ago and loved it, so if any ones got any recommendations I would be most grateful.

I go through stages of playing on my xbox one. The thing is that I like the sports games ie: fifa and nhl, and that doesn't get much interest. Im waiting for a decent boxing or golf game to be released. |

I'm replaying Doom 2 (1994) atm, working up to Sigil, which I started last year but bounced off due to various reasons (mainly that it's too darkly lit and I dislike lost souls whereas John Romero loves them, the bastard).
I also dabble in some emu from time to time and very rarely play something made semi-recently.
Biggest wow moment lately was when I got a Quest, most next-gen moment I've had since M64. Literally game changing, wireless VR; Superhot in VR is incredible, and Beat Sabre's not too shabby either.
Anyway, for the most part I'm a self hating VG person because often, as a culture, we're awful (hello gamergate) but I do still enjoy developments and advances in tech. I also somehow manage to make a living off it. |

I had a stab at the Doom 2016 demo when it came out and enjoyed it, but not enough to go all in; haven't tried Eternal. Everyone I know who've played them rate them highly so I should get on them at some point, but tbh I'm a bit of curmudgeon and Doom for me is classic (90s) Doom, I don't want to have mouse look! This is my own failing, I know.
Having said that, I'm in a game-sharing group so perhaps I'll ask if anyone can punt me the disc and give it a fair shake. There was a live speedrun event for Doom Eternal last month or so which may be worth checking out if you're into that kind of thing, I think it was clocked in ~30 mins for the any% category, am kinda keen to see how they break it. |

Great thread! My first post in months!
Getting back into games. Playing a lot of Animal Crossing and MarioKart on Switch, and some board games (Carcasson, Deep Sea Adventure, Exploding Kittens). I’m not currently into the sprawling FPS games, but played a lot of HalfLife in my youth. Definitely a nerd. I binge-watched the whole of Star Trek DS9 last year!

Huge news just there on the pricing of the X, £449. Very aggressive from MS. EA Play now also included in GP.
For just over £20 pcm you can get an S with GP, turning to just under £30 for the same deal with the X.
I had no intention of jumping aboard the next gen any time soon, but twenty notes pcm for the S and GP+EAP is mighty tempting (I'm uninterested in 4K atm).

I’m going to wait for a year or two and hopefully they release a slimmer version as the X is too big and S doesn’t have a hard drive.

I hold no allegiance to either, I was 360 at the time, then PS4 current (off the back of SFV exclusivity).
Tbh I play fuck all games these days that aren't retro or indie so likewise I'm in no rush to clamber aboard the hype train, but I must admit to being seriously impressed with MS' pricing strat; they messed up the launch of the Xbone royally but seem to be playing a blinder this time round (except that there's fuck all 1st party launch games, natch).

No recommendations to give, but that news yesterday re. MS/Bethesda was huge, and I'm not even someone who plays the vast majority (if any) of Bethesda titles.
Outside of some craziness like Sony buying R*, it's hard to see me going anywhere other than MS if/when I clamber aboard the next gen train. |

Ms are making games for ps5 now any way soon, it will all be cross platform so i dont think its a console war any more more like u choose what company you prefer also the 7.5 billion buy out dont really intrested me as the last fue games from them was no were near as good as there old stuff the one company im eagerly looking towards are cdprojectred they are making moves and are such a small team compared to the others .. witcher was an amazing story driven game cant wait to see what they do with cyberpunk2077 |

MS aren't making games for the PS5, they just have a couple that were already timed exclusives via Bethesda, who they now own.
They gave a cagey 'on a case by case basis' re. future Bethesda titles going to PS5, but tbh I wouldn't be surprised at all if they just didn't. I mean, why pay $7.5b only to not ringfence your investment to your own platforms? |

Early adopters tend to get shafted, and there's a dearth of new releases that'll make use of the tech imo (unless you want that SSD loading). I'll wait for an inevitable slim version in a year or so that doesn't look like a horrendous, white monolith |

I’ve got XBox One and PS4, but only really use the latter. Still playing MW, but really loved TLOU2 and Ghost of Tsushima. That last one took me a while to get into because the contols were so different to most games, but it’s the only one for ages I’ve completed with 100%.
Looking forward to PS5, but haven’t ordered one yet, will get a new TV with HDMI 2.1 to make the most of it. |
