Visiting London for a few days and looking for recommendations as to where would be a good place to buy vinyl LP's.,markets, shops etc. Preferably 2nd hand.

Whereabouts in London? I'm guessing Central as it's a visit?

London

Rough Trade East, near Brick Lane is amazing for “trendy” new records and is fun to hang out in. In Soho you can find Phonica, Sounds Of The Universe & Black Market for new releases and Sister Ray for pricy second hand offerings.

Spittlefields Market has 2nd hand vinyl stalls some days (thurs and sun, I think). There’s a monthky or bi-monthly record fayre in the Truman Brewery, also on Brick Lane.

There’s a bunch of quirkier, dustier shops around. I found one in Lewisham earlier this year. The Boussey Building has one. The web is your friend here...

Thanks for that info. Used to work out of the Truman Brewery in Brick Lane back in the late 90's so a trip down there I'm thinking, hopefully get a nice curry in too!!

If you're into Reggae/Ska etc, Supertone records in Brixton is great too...
