Question - why do people on here refer to men & women as males & females? It seems odd to me that people use these terms, and it's restricted to this site as far as I can tell.

In normal conversation you wouldn't use those terms, so why on here?

See all sorts of terms used on here to be honest so hadn't given it much thought until now.

Generally, male/female are the recognised terms used when discussing sexual situations though so I'd guess that's why.

If talking about threesomes say, it'd be MMF or MFF or MFM etc. The site itself uses both, in 'looking for' you can look for men or women but couples are M/F or F/F or M/M.
