Most of these big chains are pretty shite tho...more effort spent on marketing and customer service and less on the actual food.

During lockdown I would walk past our local Nandos whilst walking the dog and the queue of deliveroo/just eat drivers waiting outside to collect orders was astounding.

It does the job for what it is.

Nobody would have ever called Nando’s overrated if the phrase cheeky Nando’s didn’t get so much momentum.

I like paying beforehand and getting my own drinks, it means I don’t have to wait for the servers

Only been a couple of times so, on a positive note I quite liked you paid in advance, so once you’ve finished you don’t have to wait for someone to give you your bill and then pay it.

I also, as someone who doesn’t really have sauces on his food, really love their sauce (the very hot ones) so much so I have three bottles of it in my cupboard.

It’s not a restaurant I go to with my kids, they love pizza so it’s generally Frankies and Bennys for us, but it’s ok

Been out of the UK for 15 years now so we have never been to nandos so on a trip back last year we went to one for the first time.

So we had no idea how it worked in there and was soon to our seat by the manager and waited for a server which of course didn’t turn up.

So after half an hour we asked the manager WTF to which he nearly died of embarrassment because he hadn’t asked if we’d been before so therefore didn’t tell us how it worked there.

He gave us free starters and many gifts to apologize but it wasn’t for us and we wouldn’t go back again.

What a boring story !!!!!!

There are some awesome burgers available once you stray away from the chains.

Prices to match but as a treat they really do hit the spot taste and quality wise.

I'll try the hippo next time i am up that way, I'm assuming no hippos were harmed in making the said burger
