Did you check your package properly ? If so, you're just going to have to get on with it and improvise. Personally I don't like the idea of having to pay for screws but otherwise you just won't be able to stick your knob anywhere and it will keep coming off in your hand

Everyone has a tin of left over screws! Maybe use one of them. If not, look in a drawer. Usually a few rolling around in some of them.
