I concur jo jo rabbit.

For a bit of nostalgia how about The Outsiders (with very young Rob Lowe, Patrick Swayze, Tom Cruise, Emilio Estevez)

If you like The Outsiders, try Rumblefish.

Coppola made these two movies back to back (if there is a cooler guy than Mickey Rourke in Rumblefish I’d like to hear about it).

Think I need to give Jo Jo Rabbit another chance. I normally like that type of movie but it didn't click with me at all.

Jo Jo Rabbit was excellent. We also watched Harriet recently and it was a brilliant film - very powerful

Kiss kiss bang bang with Robert Downey Jr. Very underrated movie

Shortbus. Movie about a club in new York. I believe the only "main stream" movie with actual sex in it

Runaway Train (1985) That ending was pretty powerful. It symbolized the struggle for freedom and self sacrifice. Great movie. The ending is on youtube.

"The Right Stuff". The story of the Mercury programme astronauts, and of Chuck Yaeger, the first man to fly faster than the speed of sound. Yaeger helped train the astronauts but was not eligible to become one himself because he only had high school education, and there was a rule that all astronauts must have a university degree. He never got to go to space himself, but 26 of the astronauts he trained flew to space in the mercury, gemini, apollo and space shuttle missions. He died four days ago on 7th December 2020, aged 97. Chuck Yaeger was the man who had "The Right Stuff".

If you like Martial arts then Ipman is a must

Based on a true story about a guy who ran classes teaching Japanese martial arts in China. Ipman taught Bruce Lee

All 4 films are on Netflix
