Usually just delete. Sometimes, if they have sent a nice polite message, I will send a a polite ‘no thanks’ message which is usually appreciated. If they have sent a FAF message and I reply then it usually results in abuse so it’s easier not to bother. |

Difficult one as a reply can give some people a green light to pester even if the reply is negative though some people are outright offensive with rejections as well I have always taken a polite sorry no thanks reply well and said 'OK no worries I'm going to block you now so I don't end up messaging again, good luck' however I did that once and ended up having a great chat with her which developed in to more as I wasn't being an arse |

My messages have dried up recently, especially since I added a new comment to my profile text.
But 9/10 messages are answered unless they come from a profile that has absolutely no effort with it, to me it indicates someone who’s not serious on this site.
Asking to meet just gets a ‘no’ if they then persist a block  |

I reply to all first messages, even now. Depends on what they say as to how I respond.
I usually ask if they've read my profile and what I'm looking for. I already know the answer but some people make me laugh when they reply and we both smile so it's worth it.  |
