This is really unnecessary. We all know perfectly well that people have it worse than us, but do you know what, this is hard. I’ve not seen anyone face to face since 4pm yesterday and that for an outside distanced chat.

I am 100% with you OP. I am really missing getting dressed up and having a night out with our best friends. I'm missing the girly chat, the giggles,the chance to let my hair down and switch off from the real world. It's very important to maintain a balance for a healthy mind. Right now there is no escapism and switch off from life's everyday stresses and pressures. It really is shit.
I keep looking at the positives in my life to keep myself cheerful,but he'll it's wearing thin. |

Somewhere in Europe, usually a long weekend; Berlin, Budapest, Prague, Barcelona, Madrid, Porto and the like
The one year that fked me up was when I didn't want the expense of hotels so did 5 day trips over 10 days
I did Bruges on Wednesday, Dublin (Mon), Amsterdam (Wed), Copenhagen (Fri) & Cologne (Mon)
Early flight out, late flight back
Saw loads, did loads, ended up knackered |

I hardly ever wear makeup.. but if I get to meet my friend for a walk on the weekend... it gets slapped on... admittedly not lippy as that is a step too far... but hey, if I'm going out, I am treating that as a day/night out... with muddy walking boots

I want to pack up and go to my mums. I want to give her a hug and get d*unk with my brother to celebrate him and his girlfriend getting their first home. I want to get dirty helping him move and order pizza with them at the end of the day surrounded by boxes.

I really miss a party.
Getting dressed up. Having a laugh and a few drinks. Hitting the dance floor and having a few snogs off random strangers. 
Not been out since the 7th of March and been hiding myself away almost completely. Just the odd walk alone.
And to the guy who compared this to the blitz: I appreciate that was very different and I’m sure they longed for a night out too. I’m ex navy and spent plenty of time in war zones for months on end in a floating tin box with no sight of daylight. I’m just saying I miss fun. I won’t apologise for that. |
