No not a moan.

You want a nice bottle of wine. Not based on price but on taste. Simple drinkability.

So .... maybe it's about a fiver/tenner more than you'd usually pay for the bottle......

What can you recommend ?

I always buy wine which has been produced locally, tends to have no chemical crap.

One of my favourites is Clives Wine produced in Hereford

Take a trek to your local Farm shop Granny see what they have.

Cheateuneuf Du Pape £18 in ASDA, you some times have to drink a bottle of £6.99 wine, to appreciate a full bodied, top shelf security tagged bottle of red for £18

I don't like wine at all, but when I buy wine for others I always pick the ones "on offer" that were the priciest initially.

I've not found a Marlborough Sasuvignon Blanc I haven't enjoyed. I know there's plenty of others, but anything in that bracket, especially Brancott, just a dead cert for me personally.

I didn't like 19 crimes, but only for the reverse hipster.. whatever... Always feel cautious about wines that immediately grab your attention with their label / name... like... what are they hiding?!

For a while I enjoyed Faustino 1. It's just unobtainable now......

When people buy a Faustino V or VII I am always well mannered but think... fuck off...... the grape is barely out of the ground.

It's more the vintage for me than the name.

I genuinely don't think you have to pay the tenner more now,

Some fantastic gold award wines for @ £10 as long as your not a brand/label snob.

"What type of wine do you like? Red / white / rose "

Red Cabernet usually ....... White has to be Cabernet usually a Villa de Maria .... Most times I water the white with tonic... I get squiffy otherwise.

The red is straight or over ice in the summer ....... I know ... a sin right ? Try it it's good.
