Height has never been a determining factor of attractiveness for me, nor is a stated preference. I've met women here that have ranged from 5"1 to 6"0. Other factors, not height, was what attracted me to them

I think that much like some women prefer taller men because they want to feel protected/more feminine, some men like smaller women because they want to feel like a protector/more masculine.

A similar thread to the shorter men might be seeing if men prefer taller women? I'm not sure I've explained this well!

I don’t think that guys see it in the same way as women do, simply because guys are ‘expected’ to be bigger.

It makes little odds to me but then at 6’4” I tower over most people anyway.

I'm relatively short for a man at 5'6" and it always surprises me how bothered some women are that men need to be taller than they are. I have no problems with women being taller than me in the slightest. Height is very much secondary to personality and looks as far as I'm concerned!

I think that was what I was trying to convey, Meli.

Western culture does seem to dictate ment should be taller and I must admit, I prefer this myself. But, it's not much of an issue for me, as I'm short. Nor is it an issue for the taller guys that have commented.

However, I'm genuinely surprised that some "averagely heighted" guys have also expressed that they'd feel uncomfortable with a taller woman. X

And of course personality is important - I'd not shag a 6' Adonis if he was a twat - but aesthetically, I'm attracted to taller guys.

It's not a deal-breaker if they're not tall, but it is if they're shorter than me.

By the way, my definition of tall is 5'9". Certainly not the 6' that people assume. X

I’m between 5ft10 and 5ft11 so I guess it’s never been an issue for me but I’ve dated a woman 4ft11 and a woman 6ft1
