Recently downloaded a GameBoy Advance emulator to my phone and am having a blast playing all the old games from my childhood - Super Mario, Spyro, Crash Bandicoot...
What are some games you grew up with that have stood the test of time? |

You can find classic games hosted through emulators online, but if you use a computer you'll have to play with your keyboard.
I downloaded an emulator straight to my phone from the app store (I use the free version of MyBoy!) and then just download the individual ROMs off the internet which I then open through MyBoy. That way it feels like I'm holding an actual GameBoy |

I still play Space Invaders and Pac-Man from the early days. Then there's Streets of Rage and Super Mario World from the 16-bit era. I've just finished Metal Gear Solid (actually I'm stuck on the bit where you face Metal Gear at the end but I've given up hope of actually beating it). Advance Wars is my favourite game on GBA. |

Back in Surrey, Dahlings! |
I used to love Jungle Hunt on the Atari 2600. We never had one, but my cousin did.
Then my dad went and bought the most stupid comsole ever- a Vectrex. So rubbish, but Star Trek was good on it!
Then more modern times, Super Mario Bro 3 is my favourite of all the saga, Legend of Zelda, Castlevania III- Dracula’s Curse... LOVE THE MUSIC! Street Fighter, which my teenage boys like playing now....
In Arcade Consoles I always loved Pac Man and Outrun... loved playing that while sipping a chocolate milkshake at Burger King in Tucson, Arizona where I went to High School |

Gargoyles quest - game boy
Zelda A link to the past - SNES
Super probotector or contra 3 - SNES
Super Mario bros 3 - nes
Love retro games. Being nearly 40 anything from the nes and SNES era is brilliant

I occasionally still hanker after playing 'Dungeon Master' on the Atari ST. I remember it being a really immersive and atmospheric RPG which I managed to complete after many hours of play. I can still remember the incantation for a Fireball spell 'Zo Kath Ra' anyone. Also 'Myth' on the Spectrum was a great platform game! |

I bought a retro Sega compendium for the PS3 with Ecco on it because I loved it on the Megadrive - sadly it hadn't aged well |

I absolutely loved Zelda. Also, Super Mario 64 I think it was. I think those were my two faves.
I loved Resident Evil on PC and Lara Croft where I would always lock the butler in the fridge.
Sonic was always a winner! I was obsessed with Banjo Kazooie! And does anyone remember monkey ball racing? But I think that one was more recent.
And Rolo To The Rescue and Paper Boy if we are going back long long ago.
I definitely don't get to enjoy gaming as much since having my daughter. |

Got over 1000 retro games and a hyperspin arcade with a near full rom set
Few have aged brillaintly, Stunt Car Racer on Amiga is one and suprised it hasnt been remade
The side scrolling beatem-ups havent so much
The FMV ones are fun, the campness and bad acting has aged well (night trap, who shot Johhny Rock, Mad Dog McCree) |
