I wear contact lenses in the day if I'm working or out but wear my glasses when I'm at home.

I'm short sighted so only wear them when watching telly but don't need them to read or use my phone so constantly taking them off. Thinking of getting a glasses neck chain so I stop losing them

You could try a pair of magnifiers for reading which most places sell. Even with glasses I struggle to read in dim light and I've now got a small book light which hooks onto the top of books.

Oh, is that so? I had assumed that having glasses would improve the dim light issue. I shall have to look into that. I normally have very bright lights on when reading but it’s a little weird when I have to turn on my phone’s light to read the menu in a dimly lit restaurant.

I had know idea you wear a glasses wearing Shag, amazing, I also wear glasses, I too wear the very latest, I go into the shop and I say to the optician ‘the very latest reading glasses my good man!’ then the woman behind the counter says ‘You fucking need them love, this is the fish and chip shop love!’

I wear different glasses to cover every Eventuality, for example I have my answering the phone glasses, listening to disco anthems glasses, I wear safety glasses if I’m listening to funk, cause things get funkied up when listening to the ‘Cha Cha slide’.

I also have a pair for when I’m answering questions seriously, like someone will say ‘hey city, what’s your views on serious stuffs?’ I then put on my serious topic glasses and look over the top of them and say ‘I’ve glad you asked!’ Cause then I can shoe horn new words I’ve learnt that day in and they be like ‘wow, you know so much!’and I be like ‘Fo real’ but thinking to myself ‘Thank you, word of the day toilet roll.’

First thing which goes on upon waking is glasses. And the first thing I do after sex. Just too weird not wearing them.

Unfortunately not, you’re actually more likely to be doing extra damage by not having glasses if you need them.

Have changed my pic for this thread.

I used to rock a sexy Deidre Barlow look in the 80's with my glasses. Maybe the pink NHS frames would have been better.

"Since wfh my sight has really deteriorated.. I think i need to get glasses, but ideally I'd rather reverse the damage and retrain them, but i don't kmow if this is possible?

Unfortunately not, you’re actually more likely to be doing extra damage by not having glasses if you need them.

Darn it

Need to get my ass in gear and book in for a test - we get them through work, but its a 60-70 round car trip

That’s not ideal!... I take it you’re pretty rural?"

No i live in a city

Edinburgh (She/Her)

Always wore glasses and struggled with contacts. Hate it at times.

Can't really wear latex hoods or gasmasks as I am basically blind. A bind Dominatrix is not a safe Dominatrix... so I have to for go my favourite items in sessions..

Yes, was supposed to be for reading only but then my optician decided he needs new golf clubs and my eyesight got worse and I now look like bleeding Mr magoo with varifocals. Without them I'm screwed.

They do take some getting used to but I can actually see now though. Got a medical in two years and will probably come out with a labrador and white stick next time
