Vaping vs smoking
I do neither
Is it just me or do vapers think they aren’t offending none smokers with their raspberry ripple vapour as opposed to tobacco.? |

I hate those fruity flavours - too sweet. I stick with tobacco flavours - more earthier. And I don't do it as a 'lifestyle' with swathes of vapour. I'm an addict and I need my nicotine fix. |

I vape I'm usually careful about not offending others with my fruity aromas, I don't tend to make big clouds like some, I usually only vape outside unless at home or in a pub where it's allowed but if I'm with someone it bothers I will go outside or move away from them if already outside, my profile is down as being a smoker but say it text it's because there's no vape option |

Smoking and vaping isn't an issue when the people doing it pay attention to their surroundings. Just as non smokers try to do to politely avoid it.
But so many do not and I've given up counting how many times I've suddenly been engulfed in a cloud of smoke either by myself or with my kids just walking down the road or going in/out of shops/other places.
Non smokers don't actively seek out smokers to go and stand ourselves amongst them, but you definately can't get away from people who vape easily anymore as some are brazen enough to carry on doing it indoors as it doesn't set off the smoke alarms in many places.

Oh I agree. I smoke and I used to hate it trying to eat my dinner in a restaurant with people smoking next to me. Hard to believe now that it was actually the norm! Imagine smoking on a plane or train now! |

i don't really mind too much myself if it's helping them give up nicotine. but it's probable that the vapor isn't interested in giving up nicotine if they are still sucking on a vape after 6 months. especially so for the 'cloud chasers', a few of which are just belligerent in their emitting of huge clouds containing glycol, glycerin and virus in public spaces. |

Maybe. But I think smokers are selfish with their behaviours. Smoke in a busy pedestrian street, in front of shopping center, throw cigarettes all over the floor, out of their window screen, even empty their ashtray at the traffic lights etc… I know it’s sound harsh but do I have the choice in all those matters?
Do I go and belch in your face to smell my garlic breath? Do I fart in a busy lift? It’s all about considerate other surrounding you. It’s a personal habit yes but impact on others. if you are using a designated area then I am fine with it.
But with vaping some think it’s not like a cigarette and even smoke in the train or indoor shopping centre!
Anyway it’s just my opinion, I won’t like it made illegal but smokers having more consideration in public area. |

I'm an ex smoker now vaping and slowly working the nicotine levels down with the intention of reaching zero nicotine at which point I may stop vaping completely, I don't however walk down the street puffing out huge clouds of vapour and if I was meeting would not vape around anyone that didn't vape or smoke as it's just rude to |

Smokers seem to be a dying breed now adays. As an ex smoker I understand their addiction, they can only smoke outdoors now. And if you haven't noticed there's alot of outdoors on this planet. If you don't like the smoke grow up and move away a bit. Let folk have their wee bit of pleasure without you being a knob. Just my view.... feel free it pull it apart. |

I only vape when I can feel a panic attack coming and am trying to focus on my breathing - vaping seems to make that easier for me as it has that visual aid. At that point I'm as far away from other people as I can possibly get. |

I hate walking through any town center because of people smoking. You can't go 30 seconds without inhaling people's smoke.
And when you finally get home your hair and clothes stink because of it, I always feel like I need a shower.

I would agree if smoking was still allowed in doors but nowadays you hardly smell it unless walking past a pub smoking area.
