What form of philosophy do you believe in?
Fate,
Nihilism,
Predestination,
Reincarnation,
A mixture of several?
What is it about yours that is compelling and why?

Is that philosophy?
I guess it’s a touch of Buddhist belief that all living things are to be respected and to live in balance and compassion with the world. Karmic balance.
Perhaps it’s a sign of the world that being compassionate is a philosophy, rather than just the right way to be in this world |

I think we have more than one life. Each one a different set of lessons.
Then, when you've had your fill you finally get to relax and surrounded by the most all encompassing love, peace and tranquility. Would I call it heaven? Nope. I'd call it "home" |

Perhaps it’s a sign of the world that being compassionate is a philosophy, rather than just the right way to be in this world"

I a am cynical stoic:
I am used to things go wrong and end up badly, so I am not complaining when they do, but I am pleasantly surprised when things go well for me. In any case, I have to accept what I can't change and prepare for the properly for the things I can change. |

Not sure what the term is, but I believe that you can get out of the world what you put into it. Or perhaps that's just what I like to think to keep me motivated  |

That’s interesting.
I often find that a lot of philosophical thinking is based on qualifiers. ‘Should’ is a very common one.
Doesn’t the concept of suffering create a conflicting reaction of morality and compassion in people? Is compassion an effort of will, in which case then it’s not about morality? |

I have very intense feelings connected to certain eras, like 2nd world war and ancient Egypt. I've always liked history, antiques, anything vintage. I feel more at home in historic buildings than ultra modern. |

Hmm no direct answer for this one.
I believe in fate and destiny. I believe that we in life will end up where we were supposed to be, perhaps you could say the path already drawn and life is mapped out before we are born to this world. certain people are supposed to and will cross our paths.
Though nothing is set in stone and we do have choices or perceived choices, within many constraints, but if we are destined to be somewhere it’ll happen what ever we do. Perhaps we’ll get there another way or meet at a different time. But if it was supposed to happen it will. |

Well he believed life is a process of disillusionment and famously said that the world is hell and people are the devils in it…for him compassion not hope is all that’s left based on the inevitable tragedy of existence…pessimism or realism? He wouldn’t view it as a ‘should’…’will’ in his philosophy isn’t conscious willing but more akin to Freud’s concept of the’Id’ |
