We have a 3.0 petrol X5. The only 4x4 that was never actually intended to go off road, unless putting 2 wheels on the curb outside the school counts! Uneconomical, unreliable and expensive to keep. Bloody lovely to drive though to and from the repairers! |

No thanks. I'll stick to my 5L V8, though the polar bears ain't too happy about it!
Having just driven PW's Clio, it's quite a nice drive. Won't be dogging in it (not our thing), but it is handy for collecting a lawn mower when your own car is too sodding impractical for it to fit in!!

Land rovers/jeeps do seem fun to drive not to mention their comfortable to sit in given my height and it’s fun to drive in a bigger vehicle..
VW Tiguans look nice as well, my Dad drives a Honda which is relaxing to be in when we go on trips together...
One day I’d love to drive/own a vehicle like some off the ones mentioned in this thread if I had the money for it but for now....

You can buy plenty of saloons/coupes that cost more than an SUV/4x4. There’s a good chance it more to do with looks than off-road capability and if you’re going to part with enough money for a car, why wouldn’t you buy what you wanted based on whatever criteria you choose?
