So the other day I saw on the street I was working on loads of council workers walking round with the bin men that were inspecting the bins and refusing ones if they had the incorrect items in said bin.
Now what I don’t understand is, we pay council tax which is supposed to cover the bin service and they make money from the recycling of waste and also when it’s taken to a plant it’s sorted and washed anyway. So what’s the problem?
Anyone know?
Also any other things you don’t understand post on here and hopefully get an answer. |

"I don’t understand why pizzas are round, then cut into triangles and put in a square box "
We for square pizzas round these parts
I don't understand why binmen do their rounds in rush hour, blocking up the fucking roads! It's bad enough all the mums and dads driving Chelsea tractors and not knowing how to park dropping their sprogs off! |

If I was a pedantic person I would say that technically they are not triangles, but sectors. But I imagine it’s because a circular box is harder to manufacture and the dough is thrown using centrifugal force and the circular shape is natural. |

"Why does toast land butter side down? "
This is due to the rotational force put on the toast by itself rotating around the pivot point (fulcrum) as it slips off the worktop and due to the distance travelled, it will invariably land butter side down due to the number of rotations it will do over the given distance.
To solve it you need to raise or lower the height of the workspace it falls from
Or just dont be a clumsy klutz and don't let it fall off the worktop
P.s. the same happens from a plate you're carrying as you carry it at roughly the same height as your kitchen worktop |

The normal answer is simple. Companies and Countries that take our "recycling" have specification requirements. In many cases if one load in a bale of recycling is contaminated they landfill it all or burn it and counter charge the sender. If you want to do recycling do it properly - clean and dry. |
