This is my understanding.
I probably avoid commenting on posts where I know the OP has blocked me though as they're not going to be interested in my opinion anyway.

"It's against forum rules to ask why someone has blocked you or ask them to unblock you but it isn't against rules to interact with them "
I never would and personally avoid threads where I'm blocked by the OP, however interesting they are (the thread, not the OP) |

I've never blocked anyone from the forums (as far as I can recall), just those originating from messages. |

That's a good point. I've previously started new threads to explore an opinion rather than add to a thread where I don't consider my opinion welcome.

One of the things I like most about the forums on here is that unlike a lot of social media they are not an echo chamber of my own thoughts. I get exposed to ideas and opinions I would be highly unlikely to come across among my friends or on my FB and its refreshing. I've learnt lots, changed my opinions on some things and certainly become more open minded. Someone's thread can still be relevant and interesting even if they are a knob and even if it isn't, the contributions of others on the thread often are.

It’s a public forum so just reply if you want or don’t if you don’t want too but if they have blocked you make sure you do them the same service and block them also.

It depends on why the blocks were put there for in the first place for me.
Some I just won't respond to in any way shape or form whereas others I don't even know I've got them blocked so don't think about it. |
