Could pick several of Stevie's from the 70s but that is a complete masterpiece."

This varies from Iron Maiden to Meat Loaf to The Stran-glers to Blondie to Guns n Roses to Stiff Little Fingers to Muse to ACDC to Tina Turner to The Damned to Pink Floyd to Deep Purple ........... Agreeing with alot mentioned already. Also a gauge that there is no filler on the album - All tracks are great:-

NiN - The Fragile (yes I prefer it than Downward Spiral)
Pink Floyd - Dark Side of the Moon
Fleetwood Mac - Rumours
Cure - Disintegration
Marillion - Brave
Alter Bridge - III

I couldn't name a favourite but Ten is a fantastic album as is No Code.
I think three of Bad Religion's albums would be in the running. Namely Stranger Than Fiction, The Process of Belief and New Maps of Hell. |

Can narrow it down to 3, and these 3 albums I've probably listening to the most of any record so that's why I'm choosing them.

Frampton Comes Alive - Peter Frampton
I worked my ass off as a kid to buy that dream black Gibson, then taught myself to play every song on the album. 45+ years later, my collection of guitars and amps has grown and I can still shred an axe, thanks to Mr Frampton!   |

I took that to my guitar teacher to work out for me when i was a teenager, he notated all of it, including the solos.  |

Lovely to see so many mentions of Revolver, it really is the greatest of many great Beatles records.
My pick is not one I listen to constantly, I have to be in the mood, but The Band, The Band (the brown album to its devotees) is masterful in every possible way, lyrically, arrangements, musicianship, songs. It is literally all killers and no filler if you like that funky deep down Americana sound. Three fantastic and very distinctive lead singers, especially Levon Helm, who was also the best drummer ever to hit a skin. |
