Interestong he got a longer term than a racial attack.
However, there is a theory that behaviours such as this start with animals and then progress. He also had kept photos of his actions and was visiting sites depicting severe animal cruelty.

The one we had around here would some how catch the cats.
They would be missing for days then turn up minus limbs and belly slashed on the owners doorstep.
I had one disappear at the time thankfully it never reappeared |

Can’t abide animal cruelty at least the judge gave a half decent sentence unlike the recent case up near me two men got 4 months for hammering a nail into a dogs head then buried it whilst it was still alive |

I’m glad this vile specimen has been caught and will be punished. Any form of animal abuse or harm sickens me but all too often the perpetrators get away with it or just a slap on the wrist. The penalties need to be so much higher and maybe an offender register set up. |

I saw this on the news earlier.
This sick nut job is one step away from slicing or stabbing a human next. devastating for the pet owners I wonder what the folks in prison will make of him? Such a tough guy killing little animals.
Best Karma option perhaps, death by a thousand cat scratches, followed by visit to a crematorium and hey presto...he's kitty litter! |

You're absolutely right, a lot of serial killers began that way, it's definitely an indicator, he should be watched and not be allowed to fall through the net |
