I think you're right.
It's only equal, as you say, and it comes as a result of doing one of the hardest tasks in life (if not the hardest).
It's something which should be recognised and celebrated.
People might want to lose baby weight etc but the truth is your body's gone through a hell of a lot and you should feel comfortable with that, not ashamed.
I applaud your thread OP, you and every other "mum bod" out there are beautiful |

Perhaps through naivety or living a sheltered life but what does Mum Bod mean.
Is it not just a derivative of Milf, Gilf, Yummy Mummy et al?
Can you only have a Mum Bod after having children? Is it a shape of body?
Too many questions for my tiny brain to comprehend. Night night. |

I've always loved a mum bod! For me it epitomizes womanhood and femininity the old scars and stretch marks are part of her story and a few curves and cellulite dimples just serve to make her more real. And I live the way those soft post childbirth breasts fall into my waiting hands as I slip her bra off and lift those lovely nipples to my lips!
Mostly it's the life experience that a mum bod represents. A strong, sensualy confident, woman who knows her own body and desires and knows how to please a man and herself |

This site has done wonders for my mum bod acceptance. Before joining I was so body conscious and I still am but I have learnt men do not see the same as I do. They don’t care about a muffin top or stretch marks |

All I'll say is some of you scrummy mummy's must have some really shitty mirrors if you're worrying about how you look. You're amazing.
What do you see when you look in your mirrors? What us menfolk see is beauty and sexiness... And sometimes that little soft skin bit... "the notcher" just above the cheeks of your bum. |

I'm really pleased I posted this now. I didn't think so many other ladies would step forward, it doesn't seem as much of a thing as Dad Bods.
What a gorgeous bunch of MILFS we are |

Mum bod here too, I'm quite body confident apart from my stomach. Going from a very flat, 6 pack style stomach to being brutalised by my youngest, I can't say I'm too keen on it. Exercise will make no difference now either, even had it confirmed by a consultant |

I’ve got a lil tum pouch that just won’t go. I used to hate it but have grown to accept it. It’s part of me and gave me my two beautiful children, what’s not to love? |

You have a beautiful and amazing body. We all have a little damage to our bodies but yours looks perfect to me.
I hope this isn't mansplaining but I think you have a gorgeous figure most women would be envious of and most men would desire |

I hope you do learn to love it as it's another example of a beautiful body."
I’m proud of it and I’m comfortable in it, just not sure I’ll ever really love it |

In a ball gown because that's how we roll in N. Devon |
Not a mum. Just fat.
And I die inside whenever anyone refers to my body as a mum bod.
What we can't just have bodies without referring to having had children is beyond me. |

Totally agree, I had stretch marks, sagging boobs and a tum well before I had the kids. So what did I have then? It was just a woman's figure that wasn't perfect, it never has been and never will be. It's just my body x |

We should celebrate all bodies, because we are all unique in our own way.

Mum of two here. Nothing ever goes back to where it was or how it was before. Just work around the new shape (for me that means wide hips , big arse and a tummy that will no longer go fully flat lol) x |
