That's one of the major downsides of any online site. I agree that people are dispensible on here so if a better offer comes along it's easy to get tossed aside.
Unfortunately, for some (and I've experienced this on other sites) trolling / catfishing etc is a hobby for some sad individuals. It's a sad world when people just want to be a c*nt for shits & giggles. It makes people put barriers up and can make you suspicious of anyone and everyone!  |

As someone who has ghosted another person , I would say the possible fall out and ill feeling to both parties makes it an easier option than directly addressing. That’s not to say that it is the correct way to behave and that is how everyone reacts all of the time but that was what made it feel as though an option. I knew the person in question would probably not accept and maybe “bother” me a lot afterwards . |

I think this approach only works if you can remove feelings, which is much easier for the one ghosting than the one being ghosted |

Oh yes for sure. As I said , that was why I ghosted someone. So a view from the side of a person doing it. Empathy and maturity have set in now but that was why I did it when I did. |

Honestly? That’s a pretty drastic reaction to two people being themselves. Ghosting is something they do. because you wouldn’t do it to other, it simply means they aren’t for you. Chalk it up as a close shave, move on with dignity and pride, safe in the knowledge that you are better than they. |

My ghosting story is a bit tragic, they said they'd had covid, then poof...gone!
