Despite having gazillions of channels, you'll be sorely disppointed. 99.99% of them are total and utter bollox.

Lets go back to the days of 3 channels, programs starting at 9.30, closing down at around midday then recommencing at aound 1.00pm only to closedown for the night at around midnight - midnight being the eception to the rule, it was usually around 11.30ish. All this of course was interspersed with Test Card 'F' - Remember the little girl with the clown and the blackboard with noughts and crosses on it ?

The 'X' marked the actual centre of the screen - assuming your TV was set up correctly of course. Good old days.

Oopps where were we again ? I was waltzing away down memory lane for a moment

oh, come off it, I would bet you are all watching come dine with me repeats or x factor rather than reading dostoyevski! People always go on about how they never watch that much telly yet can converse with the best of them about eastenders! and you know what? its not that bad! A bit of mindless entertainment never hurt anyone.

I'm bolshy tonight. Sorry.
