Listening to the radio and the question is how does a squirrel remember where it has stored its nuts and do they ever get nicked . Of work today to much time on my hands

I did see a documentary a few years ago where one squirrel was watching where another was another was burying his. Squirrel A soon sussed this out and started pretending to bury nuts to fool squirrel B, it was quite comical to watch
