Shorter underwires??

Jump to: Newest in thread

By (user no longer on site) OP     over a year ago

I'm SO sick of always finding a "perfect bra" that wonderfully fits my back AND my boobs and ripping the tags off with glee, only to then over the course of the day have the underwires ride up and stab my armpits half to death, then spend the whole day rearranging and pulling things so I can be not in pain

Does anyone know of a mythical type of cup that is shorter on the sides? Seems like that might be what I need?

Ahh I thought you were referring to my boobs

I'm okay for sizing, it's just a different type of cup I'm after. Also I don't have a Bravissimo close to me

Have you looked at boob or bust on Facebook? They've got loads of info for larger chests, and which bras suit which boob shape

.

Check what shape your boobs are. This might sound weird but depending on the weight distribution of your boobs different styles of bras will be more comfortable for you - it might explain why you get the jabby ouch of underwire poking out if your boobs aren't comfortably supported.

Full cup and plunge bras tend to be higher in the armpits. You might get on better with balcony style .

Bloody nightmare all this finding a decent bra to wear that fits and is comfy..what makes it worse is that bra sizes differ with each make..production line made bra's just don't fit the best either..Ohhh to have smaller boobs!!

Yeah I usually get plunge, so I can also wear lower necklines.

Balconettes make my boobs all jiggly at the top like milkmaids in pornos

Tell me about it!

I swear if men had boobs we would have had the funding to invent actual comfortable bras centuries ago...

Definitely try elomi bras. I’m a HH cup and have exactly the same issue to the point where I have permanent marks where they’ve dug in! I tried a couple of elomi bras and they’ve been a God send! X

We still need to rearrange our wedding tackle every now and again. Boxers/shorts/trunks. Still not perfected.

I have a curvy kate bra that has little foam flaps to sit ober the underwire in the arm pit area so that they don't dig in! Revolutionary

Shopping for bras is one of my least favourite things - along with jeans!! Never seem to find long lasting comfort

My boudoir - S Wales

Yes as above. I was just about to say Curvy Kate. I have never looked back since I got my first one. Now I have about ten I love them! So comfy and sexy. And fit like a glove.

They also have all these little comfort features, thicker back strap, foamy armpit bits etc.

What about non wire? I can’t wear wires as they stick into both my armpits & my breast bone

We wouldn't have andropause, male pattern baldness, ED or a lower life span than women if they were in charge, would we?
