Yep! I have cardboard boxes (good ones mind, not your average ones) up in the attic. Some have been there for years! One day they’re *bound* to come in useful, right!?
Good thread OP!! |

No. Cardboard boxes are like Weeping Angels in my house. You turn around and a new one has appeared from sodding nowhere.
This is what happens when your mum has Amazon Prime see. Ruddy nightmare! |

And biscuit tins and extra large coffee jars.
All useful for storing miscellaneous screws or washers, basically all the other stuff I should be disposing of but can’t bring myself too, because, ‘ you never know when that might come in handy’. |

"Yes and the rare occasions someone gives me something in a plastic bag goes into my "collection"."
We have a carrier bag cupboard. If you open it out pours an avalanche of the bloody things. |

I'm guilty of keeping gift bags. They are too pretty to throw out and will resuse them.. Never do, they either get forgotten about or damaged before they get a chance to be reused.. (female of couple) |

"Where you have a cardboard box and say I will keep that it is a good cardboard box . Guilty "
I’ve always kept them for a time as the cats love sitting in a cardboard box |

"Ha, amateurs! I'm now keeping bits of wood. I even have one ready for stirring paint.
Atta boy!"
I'm basically turning into my dad. Although with considerably less hair.

I test the boxes out on my cats. If they dont climb in it and sleep in it, its low-grade cardboard, therefore gets binned!
Spare room has some cracking boxes in it though! |

I’ve got better at recycling cardboard boxes.
I make a conscious effort to reuse the shopping bags.
My weakness is “nice jars“.
what constitutes a nice jar I don’t know LOL it’s just a feeling |

I've got a few ex-amazon boxes for sending presents/eBay sales in. Not many though.
They are in my garage next to a large stack of wood that "will come in useful one day". Once or twice a year I use a piece and feel like I won the lottery |

We have cardboard boxes in our attic for kettles and microwaves and other stuff that we have used thrown out and replaced years ago. But they will come in handy one day apparently. |
