Do you start off with your lightest implement like a flogger or do you go straight in with something harder like a cane and work back to the softer things? |

I adore impact play, on a recent meet with a fwb he blindfolded me on all fours on his bed, strapped my ankles into a spreader bar and my wrists into another, he began tracing my body with various different implements, asking how it made me feel, how the pressure was, alternating between gentle strokes and strikes on various parts of me, his breathing and the excitement I could feel from him every time I asked for more of something, be it a pin wheel, a feather, flogger, crop, paddle etc made for an unbelievably arousing experience xx

It depends on the bottom's style of play, whether you have played with them before. and how they feel on the day. Unless the bottom is on mission It is always important to gauge the bottom's ability first. I have people say they are used to playing hard and then tap out on the lightest strokes. |

It depends on the many many factors at play however I can usually tell what luna needs/desires by they way she interacts with myself and others and what kind of mindset she is in, sometime I will start her off with some sensory/sensual with the intentions of stepping it up but sometimes the session takes on it's own path and develops into edge play for example with no to very little impact play, our play time is never fully planned out or set in stone as much like life it's very dynamic.

floggers light ? we have a soft lambs leather flogger that is big and heavy certainly not a light option very very thudy also a large flogger made from cut rubber strips again nothing light about this very very harsh much worse than a cane . find paddles are good for impact after a warm up with a soft latex spatula very ouchy thank you tesco  |

Well i just had a read about operation spanner. Never knew there was such a thing. Didnt mention anything about self-harm though i.e. resulting from poor mental health but it was just the wiki that i read, didnt read any in depth articles |

My phone died and I am glad the thread is still here.
Spanner was a moral decision of the House of Lords overladen with homophobia but it sets out the law of what one person can do to another in terms of sadomasochism. The judges did not consider self harm.
If you are a Dom or a top.thay does hard impact play, you should be aware of Spanner and the law. Also moderators have used the law in the past to terminate threads. |

I start off with my hand, a bit of a massage and light tapotement to warm up then start slow and gentle spanking. I work up slowly with different toys, also easing off now and then. I don't want to permanently damage the skin. Plus it gives a longer playtime. I think longest session was about 2 hours. I usually end with the cane.

This would work unless I was super bratty, and then I would probably do something really mischievous. Like steal it and pretend to hit your butt with it, knowing it get me in a whole heap of trouble
We have some close friends and she's super bratty and would do exactly just that to master Ren, it's fun watching how they interact with eachother.

Warming up is less about preventing the drawing of blood or puncturing the skin, and more about starting the persons pleasure pain response, getting blood flowing to the skin (reddening colour) as well as helping the Dom warm up. |

For me, it depends entirely on the situation and the person. Sometimes, yes, a gentle ramping up is absolutely the right way to go, if they're new to it or have little experience of it etc. If it's someone who is attuned to it, and the circumstances demand it, then no, I'll go straight in with something "heavier".
