So we had no power due to storm - and cancelled a meet. The thought of no hot water , no light, no hairdryer lol to prep did not appeal to me. We now have the other couple posting multiple status updates calling us time wasters etc because we canceled. My question is - unclean meet, no power at home , nasty status comments aimed at us. Btw we live in an area where vast areas had no power last storm and again now. Thought please ? |

Thank you - i agree too. Anyone who is offended that we dont meet without being able to get clean ready and home is most definitely not for us. Bullet dodged most definitely. Thank you for talking the time confirm my response is not mad. Lol. Xx |

People get nasty when you stop playing the role they want you to play.
It would be shitty to test people like this but when shit happens you learn a lot about people by how they react.
Luckily those sorts of people reveal themselves by posting this sort of shit as their status surprisingly often  like smearing shit all over yourself and walking around in public like it's someone else's fault.. |

Couldnt agree more. The status abuse aimed at us for a really legit reason as well as assuming we could just rock up unwashed says a lot. Defo dodged a bullet. |

People can be so bloody ignorant. They don't sound very nice people to me with so I'd think yourselves lucky you didn't get to meet them.
We are without electric too so feel your pain and we would of cancelled a meet too. |

Thank you. We are ok for now so lets hope we dont lose power again tonight as it was a whole weekend last time in dec.
No heat, no power , even the oil boiler needs electricity for the pump. Its not ideal if it runs on and on. Rocking up for a meet mid camping experience isnt for me. |

I'd forget about them and invest in solar panels,wind turbine and a battery to store the electricity generated in so your not caught out again and let another couple down |

Lolling. Yes we might build an entire sustainable clean energy substation at the bottom of the garden so as to never have to upset anyone again lolling. Its actually proved to be a great filter tho for bad attitudes and absolutely no manners. Result in itself. |

They don't sound very pleasant or decent, so likely better to have missed them. A storm induced cancellation is verifiable and understandable.
Perhaps see if anything earlier gave away the negative aspects of these people, that you overlooked? |
