I get it, I really do. It saves typing and you get to put across tone and vocal details, plus voices are just a cool indication of a person.
But why the fuck do people very detailed and long voice notes, then expect me to reply while remembering everything I need to respond to within my own voice note... Trust me I've forgotten tbe start of your voice note before I even finished listening. |

Iv received a voice note today. It was over 17 minutes long.
You reminded me I need to reply.
I normally just reply to all the bits I can remember. If I can’t remember and they want an answer to that part of their voice note I forgot they can send another one. |

"You also can't listen to them all the time like if you're in a room with other people who are watching TV, etc. I don't mind them but expect a slower response. "
On a iPhone you can press play and then put the phone up to Your ear like you are taking a call and it will decrease the volume to asif you are on the phone.

I voice note a LOT. I mean a LOT LOT.
But instead of doing one big ass long message, my and my friends break it down to smaller voice notes. 1-2 mins max per voice note so it’s easier to re listen and reply to specifics.
Me and my bff , jeez, we basically get lost in a sea of voice notes the funniest messages, we tend to star them and do a compilation at the end of the year

Pay attention , it’s not hard . I regularly send and receive 8-10 mins. You don’t have to respond to every point , do it your own way. |

Totally. Voice notes and ADHD do not play well together.
I was voice-noting with someone a while back and I was almost relieved when I was ghosted!
I was the same with Snapchat’s disappearing message format which I only briefly used a few years ago (I know, I’m way too old for it!). If I can’t accidentally discover your message three days after I’ve seen it and meant to reply to it but got distracted by something else, then I’m never replying! |

I bloody hate voice notes, my phone is always on do not disturb and it's a right dick ache having to sort it out. My step son used to be the worst for it but thankfully he has learnt how to text, much more civilized!

Very detailed isn't great to reply to but I love voice notes. I find it quite easy to remember the general conversation via grouping, I try and keep mine fairly simple in terms of subjects covered. And it's fine if not every point is covered - I've had the pleasure of hearing someone's voice, the emotions behind their words. Their little ramblings. Love them. |

One or two people (clients) have tried sending them, I don’t bother listening and just message back that there’s a problem on my app and can’t play voice notes and can they text the information instead, that soon put a stop to them. |

I have mixed feelings about them. It's hotter hearing a Fab friend's voice, although a pain in the butt to sneak off and listen to all the time, and I rarely send any back myself.
I have a real life friend who has taken to using them over text as standard and she doesn't half waffle! That bugs me. |

Sexy voice notes
Anything else, I would find much harder to comprehend and action. I don't do well with information provided in that way, that's why I avoid Podcasts. |
