Sorry. I know it’s dark but help. I’m supposed to give a reading for my dad tomorrow and not sure if I can. Any advice is welcome. X

I'm sorry for your loss.

This might not be much help but the idea is to pay tribute and praise the deceased's best qualities, reminisce about the good times you spent together, champion their best qualities etc.

Nobody can write a sincere eulogy for someone without having known them. Just write it from what your heart tells you to and don't care what other people might think about it.

When I did my mums I focused on the task got through it then let my feelings out just stay strong and focus all the best xx

So sorry for your loss. Try a funny memory as that can defuse the tension. My brother read the poem if by Rudyard Kipling at my dad's funeral.
