Hi op. I like carrot cake, never had courgette cake (is that even a thing?) but really dislike Christmas cake/fruit wedding cake etc. Any cake of that ilk does nothing for me - neither does anything really dry or so heavy it feels like a depth charge. Xx

It was quite the thing at work a few years ago. The courgette harvest did really well that year and no-one knew what to do with them, so they kept making cake and bringing it in. Definitely not for me

Am I the only one thinking of suggesting Jaffa Cakes just to get the smacked bottom?

I like almonds but dislike almond flavoring so anything with that fake, sickly taste can go in the bin. Also not a fan of most fruit cakes.

My ex used to make chocolate courgette cake. She didn't tell me it had courgette in it until after I had some for the first time. It was delicious. You can't taste the courgette, but it makes the sponge nice and moist (ooh err, Mrs!).

Can't stand coconut in anything, so any cake with coconut in it would be avoided by me.

Just Christmas cake really, all others are fair game as far as I can think! Too rich & way too dense for me. A more normal fruitcake I can manage OK, with plenty of sponge.

Cake is a real weak point here!
