do people don't use the tongues provided to select their bread rolls, croissants etc . They are there for a reason, use them. I don't want picking my croissant after you and lots more squeezed it within an inch of its life with your hands. Surely I can't be the only one that finds this unacceptable.

If I pick up one croissant with my fingers without touching any others and put it in a bag, is that more hygenic than using the tongs which multiple people have touched ?

"I hope they're not using their tongues to pick them up "

It says "using tongues to select" which means giving them all a lick !

Though to be fair I did see a while back a couple of kids licking the icing sugar off a few iced buns. I never bought anything from there again.

Yes I’m sure you’d prefer a tonguing to a tonging.

Although I can never be sure.

I never buy from the bakery section at Lidls, the lack of sneezeguards is disturbing

Oh aren’t you supposed to give them a good feel to check if they’re fresh

They put the stuff in compartments now in the newer shops but people still stick their hands to pick instead of the tongs provided.

Surely licking the bread first is a lot more unhygienic?

My nan’s spare room.

I went to Lidl yesterday. They didn’t have corned beef.

Disappointing

People rave about their 'fresh' bread and pastries but apart from the fact they're delivered frozen then heated up, the open display is pretty grim.

Did you not come out with a sleeping back and tea towel hooks? Much more useful than corned beef

I prefer corned beef hash to tea towel hook hash.
