I would love to hear peoples opinions on what an ice breaker message from a single male to a couple or female should include...
Of course it's tough to get going on here, the more veris etc the more interest, kind of a snowball effect I suppose.
What would grab your attention and make you want to message back?

This is failsafe advice. But on the improbable chance it doesn't work, just be yourself, OP. I don't think you should set out to "get attention" as it might easily come across as false or generic.
There is no magic formula that I know of, but if you find it, remember that with great power comes great responsibility. |

Find something on their profile, and ask about it. It does 2 things; shows you've taken an interest beyond profile pictures, and gives the recipient something other than "hi" to answer. |

I actually don't care if they read my profile or not.
Messages that get my attention have humour, confidence, no sex talk!!!
But must also be accompanied by a good profile pic, username and bio. They tell me if you're my type or not. |

First thing we'll see is the username. If that's off-putting we'll probably not even bother looking at the profile.
Then it's straight to the visuals to check the photos. Cock heavy, bland, or just not attractive to us and we'll give up at that point.
If the visuals are good then we'll read the profile text. Any 'red flags' in there or mentions of activities that put us off and we'll probably not even read the message.
If there's enough in the photos and text to spark any interest at all then, and only then, will we read the message.
And if it's just a 'Hi' or 'When are you looking to meet' then it goes straight in the bin.
People put far too much importance on the specific content of an opening message when they should be concentrating on making sure their profile and photos are good enough to make someone want to open it in the first place.

I don't send many - none for a fortnight or so. I hate being rejected more than I like being responded to, so I err on the side of caution.
But when I do, it's usually because interaction through the Forums means I'm not entirely a random stranger, and it's usually a continuation of a conversation there. I NEVER message an entirely unknown person. |
