In 2019 Sharon Stone had her Bumble account blocked because users reported her as a fake.
In the last few days I was on my dating app and saw a famous celebrity (I won’t reveal names or details). As far as I can make out it was genuine and was linked to her ‘socials’.
It caught me by surprise - I guess I always assumed celebrities would meet and couple-up at fabulous parties dahhhhling. Seems many of them are just like the rest of us, after all, and that is strangely comforting. I declined her repeated pleas for a kebab and some white lightning at the park but it got me wondering:
Has anyone else ever virtually encountered a celebrity on a dating app? If so, did you message them? Did you go on a date? Were they as you imagined?

I met [redacted] on [redacted].
We hit it off and eventually met. Our first date was at [redacted] and I couldn't believe what she was wearing. Her [redacted] [redacted] [redacted] which I wasn't expecting.
Needless to say, it wasn't long before [redacted] and [redacted]. Then who should show up but [redacted].
Well by this time, I was totally [redacted] and was up for pretty much anything, including swimming in their [redacted].
I didn't ever see them again but I often think of that night, especially when I'm [redacted]. |

I saw Sharron Davies (ex swimmer) on a dating app. I swiped right but sadly she didn’t.
I thought it was fake but google confirmed she does use (or at least did at the time) dating apps. |

They are normal people like you and I, they work, they rest, they eat and drink and deserve privacy like the rest of us. I’ve have endless chats with work colleagues (high profile) and it saddens me they can’t do dating because of gossips/people taking pics etc in restaurants or bars.
Would you enjoy your every trip out to eat or drink and being pestered? Leave them be and just appreciate their work.  |

I dated a fairly well known pop singer in the late 80s and then they popped up on FAB years later and messaged me again not knowing it was me.
Quite odd as we are a big distance from eachother ... we are already connected on Facebook too.
Also found a very well known male porn star and met on a dating site .
Allegedly straight in the porn world but really not totally.
That's it really.

I matched with someone who had a couple of dance hits in the early 90's. I can't remember her name so cannot and would not reveal anyway! She was lovely, I'm not sure if anything would have happened romantically/ sexualy but I would have enjoyed a coffee with her I reckon. I met someone else on there at the time so came off. |
