…should you keep hanging around drinking alone in the hope you make new ones or follow them out the door?

Oh serious point they prob got shy or no one took there fancy, if I had a couple drinks already I prob would of stayed as that would of given me Dutch courage ha,and your not forced to do anything anyway. Can just chat drink or sit at bar till someone comes to bar to buy a drink.

"…should you keep hanging around drinking alone in the hope you make new ones or follow them out the door?"

Is this a metaphor of your life ?

I’d probably have one more drink and a conversation with myself

Stick around for a bit, you never know who's about to come in.

But if this thread isn't an analogy...Leave quick! You can catch them up in the Winchester if you hurry...

I’d stick around and be friendly. Chances are a new conversation will come along soon.

Stay. Drink. Find new friends. Chat loads. Buy shots for everyone at the bar. Get pissed. Fall over…

Oh… I would never do that

100% make new friends and proclaim them as my best friend and then likely have no memory of it the next morning

Oh I don't know where my answer went. We call it an Irish goodbye when we just disappeared when we are pissed enough. If I'm last man standing I just sta s at the bar chatting to everyone. Don't feel as though I ha e to go home

I would hang around. I'd pull up to the nearest green velvetine banquette and sit down by myself, with a bottle of Monkey 47 by my side, with the everlasting hope she walks in through that door for me to utter that iconic line: "Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world, she walks into mine".
