The post has nothing to do with the title. But that's click bait for you!

I don't like overwhelming positivity, especially when it's forced positivity for the sake of it. Bring on the balance.

So enlighten us with something that has made you happy recently, and something that has upset or pissed you off.

Seeing some of my favourite people this week, and looking forward to a weekend away is making me happy.

The constant pressure from this cost of living crisis is making me sad.

My dog's happy dance when he thought he'd tricked me into second breakfast, when I just wanted to make him happy made me smile.

The screaming for third breakfast pissed me off though.

Deepest darkest Peru

Spending time with someone I care for deeply has made me happy

Pissed off that my train was delayed today and now can’t pick my son up from school

We're off to see John Wick 4 this afternoon so looking forward to that.

As for the other?

Yet more evidence of dubious attitudes and notions about male identity on the forums.....again.

What's making me happy? The thing happening outside our front door. A very kind and lovely man is building a ramp at our front door

Now you need to balance it out!

What's pissed you off lately.

I'm happy about some great plans I have to look forward to.

I'm pissed off because it's my late shift at work tonight.

A few things are making me happy..

Someone most definitely put a smile back on my face and it's still there.

People are lovely at my new job and I'm already seeing the things I can do to make a difference.

My dog . She's just the best ,despite the fact she's now also a worry!

The sun has come out and the rain has stopped.

Being woken up this morning to a massive cuddle from my daughter

The woman in Asda who was stood in front of the mince just staring at it for the longest time and when I said “sorry could I just quickly grab something” she was like “yeah sure” and just continued to stand there, so I had to squeeze between her to get to it .

I'm happy because my husband rang me to sing(very badly) a rubbish song to me through the phone and it made laugh

I'm pissed off because as said above the cost of living crisis is making things difficult

The way someone else is trying to make me feel bad about my choices and I'm frustrated that they are managing it!

Errrrrrr not being able to get in through the front door?!

Actually, students trying to tell me to accept their lateness because they live "far away". No you don't, pal. I live a damned sight further away and make it in! Get up earlier!

Somewhere North of Watford Gap

Happy thing:

Discovering a packet of homemade brownies in my rucksack, smuggled in there by one of my garden volunteers.

Not so happy thing:

After being referred to a local MH charity by my care coordinator, realising I can't access the activities because I can't afford the fuel to get to them. That sucked.

Always on hand to destroy that positivity.

I've been awake since 2:30am so I'm a little short tempered.

Where do you want me?

I actually didn't even think of that... It's not aimed at women. I just wanted a title I know is definite click bait and would do an initial trigger.

Your internet

On Sunday I reconnected with an old flame which was really nice. Had a good walk and a catch up. We’re meeting up again this weekend, so that’s made me happy.

Except I may not be able to go because I have a cold and clearly that means I’m almost brown bread.

What made me happy... We've fed 75 people today, that wouldn't of eaten otherwise.

What made me sad... I dropped my phone and smashed the screen.

Knew I could rely on you!

But nothing positive at all? Not even a tiny little bit?

Did you make somebody cry at least, which in turn made you happy? I can work with that.

You can then return to the negativity realm.

If it was the husband then I apologise to the West Midlands, as he's still at work. People must fear a gas attack if I can smell it from here !

At the start of the week, I was told my work is ‘excellent’ during my appraisal, and that my boss couldn’t think of anything I needed to improve on. He’s a perfectionist, so that was music to my ears, I felt sure he’d have a list.

Yesterday another, senior, colleague, (who has a small number of hardworking wallies like me who he belittles and gaslights) finally made me lose my cool. Not my finest moment. So all that forum shite aimed at me last night was the least of my worries, frankly!

I'll know it when I find it.

I really like the idea of this thread - found a tab open with it so clearly I intended to reply but didn't get around to it.

So, let's see. Happy? I'm going to be attending my first certain style of club night. It might be a tad sad but I'm already thinking about what to wear, where to stay. Actually, that's fine because it's next month. :D

Sad? The realisation I'm not particularly great to spend time with. I think I'd been a tad deluded and thought I was better company than I am.

But - silver lining. I'm stepping up gym going, eating a lot less and better, working on me and a lot less delusional.

So, nice happy/sad/happy sandwich there.

I met Meli recently (platonically) and this was not my experience of what her company is like. She's intelligent, a good conversationalist and fun to hang out with, and you should hang out with her if you have the opportunity.

Happy - I was able to help a friend with a project the other night. It didn't take much but I enjoyed using skills I don't get to use much to spot what the issue was and how to fix it and being able to help her.

Sad - honestly, I'm a little sad in general at the moment. Had covid a few weeks ago and although I'm clear maybe having to plunge back into isolation got me down more than I expected. I need to get myself out to seeing people again to help get over the blues I think.
