You're right that men shouldn't wear them. But damn they feel sexy to wear. No idea why!! They don't hide a hard on that's for sure!!"
I have no words. |

Jesus sandals are pretty much all my Grandmother used to wear |

If you like it, feel good in it and feel comfortable in it, then wear whatever you want without worrying about other people's judgment. Be your own individual self, if someone else doesn't like it, that's their problem, not yours. |

"What is dressing your age?
Not wearing 3/4 baggy denim pants, converse, oversized baggy t-shirt and a baseball cap on ya head back to front at the age of 40+ "

This applies to men and women but anything from SuperDry. Imagine getting a perfectly good t shirt or hoodie and plastering your ugly-ass logo all over it |

I am beginning to get rid of my skinny jeans and go for 501-style alternatives. I looked at myself in the mirror the other day and realised that I wasn't in my 20s anymore and look rather ridiculous. |

I still pretty much dress how I did in the 90's to a point. I wear overly expensive Japanese denim, and collect trainers - clothes the young folk simply either wouldn't wear, or can't afford anyway!
Skinny jeans are not for men in their 40's.
Or short men.
Or fuller figured gentlemen. |

When i get dressed i generally wear whatever garment bears the least resistance when i pick it up off the floor. Sometimes they come up easily, but have an inflexibility which makes them difficult to put on and uncomfortable to wear. That can be an issue at times if nothing else will pull up, but being well dressed has never been about comfort. At least i know i am fashionable as people generally make way for me in the street and they often stop and stare. I hope my little tip helps. |

Nylon football shirts (I happen to like the vintage cotton ones) unless:
a) you're playing football, or
b) you're going to the match and seriously think that if a real player gets stuck in traffic you could step in at the last minute. As long as somebody holds your pie. |

Reading through this thread I’m getting feelings of exclusion, nobody seems to share my choices of clothing.
I mean what’s so wrong with my knitted tank top, flared corduroys and sandals with beige socks combo. |

This list made me giggle. And I have to agree re the satin bomber… nobody should be wearing one of those unless you’re in Pantomime or a pink lady on a hen do. |

"Don't wear black stuff or blue jeans. "
Black stuff? do mean the colour black? Ir are you being racial? Either way men can, do, and should wear anything black.
As for not wearing my blue jeans, are you out of your mind? Blue jerks are probably the most “male” thing a man can wear. Blue herbs were first worn BY men, and were designed to be worn by men. A man wearing blue jeena, especially paired with a light shirt and possibly a cowboy hat is one of most masculine images I can think of. And here you are claiming men shouldn’t wear them!
Men should wear what ever they want to. Women are allowed to wear everything , so should men. After all, most items of clothing my, from high heels, to tights, to shirts hats and even skirts (kilts) came from men originally.
Any woman telling men what they can and can not wear frankly comes across as sexist. |

5 paragraphs to tell me you're dressing exactly the same as 95% men in the pub.
You just blend into the crowd. Style and fashion are about setting the trend not copying it.
But I'm not even going so deep. Just pick colours that don't match every boomer in blue jeans or genZ in black the north face.
Then you will not look the same.

Allow me to go deep...
Eschewing mainstream colours simply to stand out from the norm comes across as contrived. In regards to jeans I sometimes wear black, with assuredness, and also the ubiquitous blue when called for. It's about coordination - complementing other items of clothing with those 'spurned' blacks and blues. However, my 'go to' for most clothing is green.
Personally, I don't prescribe to the notion that "style and fashion are about setting the trend". For me it's about confidence, nonconformity and understated styles - styles that are inimitable but still relatively mainstream. In essence, I follow my own regimen that allows me to blend in and stand out at the same time. |
