But there's so many! Recycling in this, cardboard in that, tuna steak bake in that....it just made me think I need to mention it on fab!"

"We don't have a food bin.
We have three bins and I only use two of them now we have to pay for the green one.
"
We have a black one for non- recycling, a green one for recycling and some people have a brown one for garden waste.
I compost my garden waste and take any big stuff to the tip. |

Local MP spent years trying to get us city status, then got brutally murdered so Boris decuded to award it in his honour - denying us residents a say in the matter.
But, the council are still draghing their heels on waste management.
A neighbouring council has been using wheelie bins for over 30 years, but we still have plastic bags.
Black bag for non-recyclables.
Plastic tub for cardboard
Pink bag for recycling
And a small plastic tub for food waste - what was known as a pig bin when my parents were kids.
Oh, and a clear plastic bag for textiles, though I could have a wheelie bin for green garden wste if I want to pay for it (which makes you wonde what council tax is for) - but I compost mine

Can you not choose not to have a green bin?
Then you could just run up a fuel bill and enjoy long queues waiting to dispose of it every time you need to cut the grass by taking it to your local recycling centre yourself?
Green bins are optional extras round here.

If you don't want smelly bins, don't through away food.
We had a separate food bin for a while but the local newspaper took against it and they were abandoned after a couple of years. I really miss them. Smelly yes, but small and kept the main bin pong-free. |

Or.......just put yours in next doors.

It's bin day. Recycling and general waste. Oh the excitement.
Even more thrilling is the fact that tomorrow I get to say it again, as it's the bi-weekly green bin day.  |
