Blur or Oasis
Jump to: Newest in thread
Oasis were the band of the larger swilling, belching lout (haven't really done much thats any different in the last 25+ years), Blur was the choice of the more cerebral listener (and substantially better musicians with a wide ranging and interesting body of work outside of the band) |

Maybe, but oasis were still better. Not even a contest. |

You can't have a contest when Liam doesn't have the mental capacity, style, class or voice to even get past the qualifying stages- possibly the worst vocalist i've had the misfortune to witness live |

Blur. Without a doubt. Even though I was the first person I knew to be into oasis, and I still love them, blur are better musicians and sing writers. They are also fucking amazing live! |

I never understood why it was necessary to chose a favourite. Two great bands that both put out some great tracks and albums! I remember people freaking out in the 90s because I wouldn't say which one was better lol.
Im a Bi- swinger don't restrict myself to binaries. I'm happy to enjoy the best of both worlds |

This isn’t even a question the answer is OASIS
Whether you them or not, oasis and LG have sculpted multiple generations of kids , including the most recent lot of kids idealising and identifying With a guy , a band and a look from the 90s today .

I am still surprised that this is still being asked as a question now…. As it was back in the 90’s
Was a dumb question then and even dumber now.
Bit like asking who your favourite child is…. |

Errrrr…. Yes, it is
Both and plenty of others produced music equally good and bad
You might really love Supersonic but hate Wonderwall
And really loathe Charmless Man but think End of a Century is the best thing since sliced bread.
There is no wrong or right answer …..

"Fuck it... STEREOPHONICS!!! 😁"
I have a soft spot for them but…
I often wondered why they would start a song then just keep stopping. It made no sense.
Then someone explained they were DIFFERENT songs. |

I’ve always thought Oasis were overrated. A rock band for people who didn’t listen to rock music.
And after 2001 the world realised, I was right
I’ll take Blur. Although I’ve never been a fan of either |
