couple, us we him her.

What scares you more than anything, spiders, death, global warming, the loss of a loved one?

Or is it something irrational and for reasons only known to you it terrifies you.

Me it's scorpion's.

I remember seeing a film as a kid The abominable Dr Phibes and a scene with scorpion's that gave me nightmares for months to this day I am terrified of them.

Having to have a camera put up my willy if I get any abnormal prostate diagnosis .. I’m not even being flippant (which makes a change) it’s a genuine fear, even though it could, of course, ultimately save my life

Carlisle usually

Silence.

My hearing was deteriorating rapidly when I was younger and I was told I would eventually be deaf. Not having sound reminds me of how I felt when they told me that.

I find the uninterestedness of people in the environmental damage done by humans to be quite scary.

Obviously it goes without saying the losing loved ones etc would trump that but that’s kinda obvious I hope ...

I think this should have been omitted from the list as your correct it pretty much trumps everything else.

It’s a fear of me not being around to watch my kids become adults.

It wasn’t really a thing until my 10yo asked what if I’ll be doing amazing things when I’m an adult and you’re not there anymore to see it.

It’s another level of scary.

I worry about my youngest son and what will happen to him should I die, as I don’t think he will be able to live independently on his own. Remaining family are dwindling fast!

I also worry about going into open water when in a car and not being able to get out.

I also worry about house fires and people who have those little piddly double glazed windows that only open at the top.

My dad died of dementia a few years ago.

A long drawn out demise where I lose my facilities and become a burden scares the shit out of me.

Have no issues with dying, just I’d rather do it quickly, maybe even spectacularly

I get pretty anxious about the future and currently not as financially independent as I'd like to be. I pay my bills and don't have much debt but the 'what ifs' always play in my head. A late payment and I'm fretting I'm on a downward spiral into debt. Awful feeling.

My childhood fear came true almost 9yrs ago.

So now I just have the normal fears of spiders and going up stairs in the dark.

They are lovely. This is the first time in 27yrs I've had no ponies as I recently, sadly, lost my last 2 oldies.

What scares you about them?

I'm not in a situation to have this fear, but even thinking about putting myself in those shoes, to have that fear, is a heavy feeling; I feel for you.

For me it's spiders, boring but true.
