Have you ever had an orgasm that makes your entire body tingle for long periods?
I spent way too much time researching this tonight, and discovered it’s rare but can happen to a small percentage of people. I’m curious how many here have experienced this.
I’m talking about tingling of a body part distant from the genitals. Such as fingers, face, facial lips, chest/breasts, and not localised tingling in or around your genitals, and for a prolonged period starting from build up of orgasm to post-orgasm until your body “comes down” from an orgasm. |

"Not leading up to it, but it's happened a few times in the soles of my feet.
I thought it was the lack of oxygen "
From what I’ve read, feet is normal amongst a large majority of sexually active people.
I’m curious about the more rare tingling above the waist. |

I’ve never been able to squirt but when I have a strong orgasm, my whole chest turn red like a rash for at least 10 mins and I sometimes get a tingle in my fingers or neck (only using my wand tho) |

No, not a full body orgasm. Again, as I said in the original post it is different in which it is tingling leading into the orgasm, as well as after in a body part distant from the genitals such as chest, face, and facial lips. It lasts beyond the height and end of the genital sensations of an orgasm.
Feel free to use Google scholar to read about it further. I literally started with “why does tingling in the face during orgasm occur?”, and was lead to a treasure trove of different views both medically and non. |

First time something like this happened to me it totally freaked me out. Like a tingling pins-and-needles thing going on in my fingers and toes and spreading to my legs and arms. Not being able to control them for a minute or more. I thought I was having some sort of fit or seizure. Nope - just a really fucking intense post-orgasm rush.
No real idea how or why either. It wasn’t even the most amazing sex, but *something* in my body got triggered. |

One of the things I read compared it exactly to a fit in terms of sensation but biologically not at all the same. It is believed to be a hypersensitivity sexual response, like you have said no one has pinpointed what triggers this response.
For me, it happened three times ever in my life. It was the most mind blowing sex of my lifetime. It was intense. It was concerning as it took ages to go away. I thought it was related to auto asphyxiation that I tend to do as I’m climbing through an orgasm but one of the times I experienced it, I purposely didn’t hold my breathe and that happened to also be the most intense tingling experience of the three times it happened to me.
From what I read, it’s far more apt to happen to women than men. It’s interesting you’ve experienced something similar.

A few years ago I went through a phase of experiencing orgasm like feelings but without any ejaculation. Kind of like a dry orgasm if you will. That involved tingling in my face my buttocks, rolling waves of orgasm like feelings and seeing colors flashing in my eyes. The occasions in which they happened were after prolonged foreplay and when I was intensely aroused. Sadly it's been about 15 years since it last happened! |

Yes it happens to me with the Mr often, it's kinda annoying especially when you want to get back on with the sex but everything is tingly and I can't be touched.
It's also kinda nice, always following a very intense orgasm sometimes I get aftershocks for ages too.

What is classed as a long period?
When I orgasm I do feel it throughout my whole body. It’s my legs, feet, and toes which tingle and that can happen for about 30-60 minutes post-orgasm. I never thought it was something different? It’s only when I have like a 10/10 strength orgasm.
It’s like an ASMR type tingle I guess. |

Yes I have and do have orgasms like this. My whole body will tingle, shake it is not merely a localised sensation for me. They are not always that intense but when it happens the after shocks alone can make me roll into more orgams without being touched. I am extremely lucky ha,I love how reactive my body can be with the right touch and person. |

Before D, no.. But now lucky in that these are a quite regular occurrence, he spends a long time teasing and intuitively denying smaller climaxes until I literally explode.
When he does I get pin and needles all over my body, convulsions something akin to a fit and can take ages until the 'after shocks' subside..
I sometimes end up crying with the sheer release of them.
He has climaxed without ejaculating and often laid there afterward with body spasms going on as he comes down from them.
As mentioned it can halt anything else after as they can be disabling.. But christ!! |

Oh, yes I saw colours flashing in my eyes afterwards. I even thought little specks of different colours were floating in the air around me. I didn’t associate this with the orgasm and thought I was just randomly seeing things as I didn’t have my glasses on. Intriguing!! |

It’s annoying indeed. Happening often would be lovely but also frustrating for me. It’s been the only times I’ve ever said I can’t keep going. I’ve had enough. Until it disappears. For once, I thought I was finally no longer insatiable and voracious in my sexual appetite as I’ve never, ever before said I’m done, I can’t continue with more, or I need a break.
It’s lovely but I wish I didn’t need a break. |

The hypersensitivity is disabling. I find that difficult as I want more but can’t continue because it’s such a strong response to the pleasure shared. I can’t imagine this happening so often that it halts all activity for a long time. Had anything helped you “come out if it” quicker? |

"When i have a cervical orgasm my face and the top of my head tingle. I feel a little faint for a while and all i can do is just lie there in a haze. They are very rare though. "
For me, this is distinctly different than a cervical orgasm. I was explaining to someone what different orgasms feel like to me. I can’t orgasm from clitoral stimulation alone and don’t know what a clitoral only orgasm feels like. I describe cervical orgasms as deep wave like orgasms that happen deep inside my vagina. These feel wave-like and are very intense but for me don’t cause any tingling above the waist. Penetration and clitoral stimulation combined give me a different type of orgasm that’s best described as contraction-like. It’s short and localised to the front of my vagina rather than deep like cervical and can’t be very sensitive but I can keep going. Sometimes I can squirt without orgasming. Other times I can squirt in conjunction with a cervical orgasm.
These prolonged above the waist tingling orgasms that cause pins and needles are a very different type of orgasm for me. They start vaginally - all over- deep, and roll forward externally to the clit and then spread to my face lips, cheeks, and all over my face. It’s such an odd sensation.

Yes, I have this with nipple orgasms.
It’s like a wave of multiple orgasms and can’t really tell how many as it can continue for a while, as well as body shakes which I don’t have any control over. Then I need a while to be left alone to come back to my senses, and I’m ready to go again, and again.
The body tingles last for long hours later, in fact my body still tingles from the weekend as I type this

That was my thought initially, and what lead me to seek out understanding of this. I thought I was lacking oxygen from holding my breath through the orgasm. Seems it’s not so. |

That is a very familiar sensation. Usually with my partner, giggling to herself smugly at blowing my mind. Waiting for me to come back down to earth: Are you seeing stars again? And it could persist for quite sometime after the 'physical' orgasm had passed.
I had no idea this stuff had been studied. Humanity should put all its resources into this - it could be the omega point |

Once from oral.
I needed to push her off, because I couldn't handle the length of the orgasm.
Not sure what would have happened, but naturally I felt it needs to stop.
The only time it was kind of too much.

I've experienced it a couple of times. The first time I think I said fuck repeatedly and didn't want to be touched. :D
It's not something that happens often; I can and do orgasm very easily and intensely through most sexual activity. I rarely tap out, so far it's at a grand total of once. :D The first time the tingling happened I really understood la petite mort.
; I'd never had tingling in my face. Was convinced something bad was happening.
I'm not sure what makes them happen. It's perhaps the intensity of the connection, when I'm really able to let go and they can read my body well enough to push me gently in that direction and there's that effortless lust. I am quite a sensory person and I think that contributes to it as well?
Who knows. |
