Of course it exists. For some people it is what they're looking for, for some it isn't, and for some they'll go for it sometimes.

I like strings. They don't have to be heartstrings, but friendship is a great string to have.

I definitely don’t want the conventional relationship strings. Finding that I can have a nsa ltr with a likeminded fwb, changed my looking for mindset completely, relationship anarchy rocks

It does still exist.

For me 'strings' means a commitment to someone beyond mutual respect and basic friendship. I expect all our meets to be 'nsa' and so far so have they. Obviously if you meet regularly a closer friendship will develop along with the obligations that go with that but so far this hasn't happened for us.
