My first thought on the final was it could be a hard watch as neither player is the most exciting to watch. However there is something gripping about a two day final where anything can happen and even last night if Jak had won that last frame at 10-7 down overnight he would be right in it but 11-6 with Kyren’s experience in playing in finals I think he will look to share the frames and win 18-11 or 18-12

. Apparently they haven’t always got on so a bit of extra spice to the match. Will probably be a bit of a rivalry over the coming years as the class of 92 are perhaps showing signs of declining although you can never really right them off.

Yea there was some comments made of their 'friendship' lol but they both handled that well I thought. Not slagging each other off, and other people always will feed off and make worse a rivalry.

It will be an interesting collection of players from the 2002-2010 era that are established and winners that step out from the '92'

The likes of Murphy, Bingham, Hawkins, maguire, carter, Selby, ding, etc they should strive

. Yes snooker is quite competitive now with regards to who wins a tournament as any of the above you mentioned could win a tournament. One to watch out for in the coming years is Stan Moody. So much for my prediction on Trump winning 9-6 he is 4-0 down at the interval with lots of work to do to

get back into it.

"Anyone around for the Welsh open this week?. Seems like Ronnie O’Sullivan has pulled out again. If on the BBC red button or on free view Dmax channel I try to catch some of the play on those channel."

I normally just watch it on Eurosport do not know what I will do when it closes on feb 28th but think it is going on Discovery and TNT sports.

Selby v Maguire in the Welsh Open final.I would like Maguire to win as I like his style of snooker. However my head says Selby to win 9-6

The final of the Tour Championship today of what has been a good tournament of 2 session matches.I fancy Mark Selby to beat John Higgins 10-8 in what I think will be a battle of tactics play with some great break building when the opportunity arises.

Middx/Herts borders-ish or thereabouts !

Has that miserable prick O'Sullivan decided yet whether or not he's rolling up at Sheffield next week ?

Oh, and I DO wish the BBC would go back to the original version of The Drag Racer for their theme music.

Tournament 'proper' starts Sat week.

It would appear Dott's career is as good as finished

. Looking forward to the tournament starting next week.I am also hoping that Ronnie turns up and has a good tournament and wins it.However I think Judd maybe the one that wins it.As for Dott everything I have read which is not a lot suggests to me that his days as a snooker player are numbered.

Yes looks like Dotts days are numbered.I am looking forward to seeing Gary Wilson in the qualifiers as he is seeded 17.

I do not know who will win and it is quite open really with Higgins in form and also Robertson back with a bit of form and considering he was poor last year and lost the qualifier to appear at the crucible.

Hope Ronnie turns up and plays well.

Been watching the qualifiers on TNT sports.

Growing up in the 80’s it was rare to see a maximum 147 in snooker.Over the years I have seen plenty.Especially by Ronnie O’Sullivan , Stephen Hendry and John Higgins. Now Jackson Page has knocked in two in one match and in the process has earned himself a bonus of £147k.

. Yes it did.The season Kyren Wilson has had I fancied him to get to the semifinals. The crucible curse is amazing that no first time champion has successfully defended their crown.Joe Johnson and Ken Doherty got to the final the following season is the best a first time defending champion has managed.Even the great Steve Davis lost 10-1 to Tony Knowles back in 1982.

The actual is 155 as if you get a free ball early.A ball as a red 1 point and then the black 7 points so 147 +1+7 =155

Even though match has started it all depends on what Ronnie turns up 1-1 at minute but think 10-6 or 10-7 Ronnie.

I have backed him at 4-7 as thought that was a reasonable price to just win the match.

Good Luck

. There is so many Chinese players and 3-4 of them have had good seasons and Lei Peifan has already knocked out Kyren Wilson so it’s possible one of them semifinal maybe the final

Yep 4-7 was a good price for Ronnie and made a few quid.i thought he might be a bit rusty hence I gave he captain 6 or 7 frames but he just seems to do that to give himself a challenge I think.

Any apps offering odds on a Chinese winner? Still at least 5 still in it

I backed Ronnie but just missed the 8-1 so got 7-1 but I always go ew 50.00 I already got my 100 stake back as I backed him at 4-7 to win against the captain as I had £200 on so now got a free bet on Ronnie.
