Old Things Younger Than My Five Spice

Just helping the 15 year old prep for their food tech class tomorrow. They need Chinese Five Spice. We go to check if we have any.
It went out of date in 2001!  
7 years before they were born. 1 year before we got married.
What old things have you got that are still younger than my five spice?

I have a tub of hot chili powder. It's the family chili powder from "the old country" (Durban, South Africa). I use it, and it's still going strong, but my late mother-in-law brought it out for us specially on her last visit in 2007! (The poor woman's passed away in 2011).

You do; it is. Depending on how long it had between being bought and going out of date it might actually be as old as you.

Assuming you bought the 5 spice a little before its expiry date, I have a jumper of a similar vintage.
Bought from Cooshti, Bristol, when at university (shop's remarkably still going strong, filling current students' wardrobes!). It was a big purchase that I probably couldn't really afford at the time, but I've definitely got my money's worth... |
